Difficulty setting question.

So is there 2 difficulty setting in this game? 1 for overall Difficulty (the one you CAN'T change and the one you choose at start of the game) and 1 Combat difficulty( the one you CAN change, it is located in the options menu under "gameplay" option when you press pause. you can't change it during expedition but can change it during combat stealth or gunfight. It also has no survivor option for some reason.....)

Did what I assume is right or this option has the same function? Also whenever I load a save file eventhough I know I start on survivor difficulty, the save file has a tomb raider difficulty on it so when I look at the option, at combat difficulty it really says tomb Raider try to change it back to survivor but can't the combat difficulty only had seasoned raider......

Da*n I thought you cant change the difficulty once you start the game yet it always keep resetting the difficuty just the moment I hit the first stealth part of the game(after you run from the bear) Is it a bug Im experiencing?

As far as I can tell, you cannot change the difficulty no matter. At least in my game you can't.
However the only warning you get is Extreme Survivor & it warns you about saves and difficulty. You cannot change once ES is chosen.
As far as I can tell, once chosen it doesn't matter whether its combat or exploration, the level is the same. There are not 2 levels in a single play through. For example you choose Tomb Raider. Everything will be at the Tomb Raider level including combat.

But if you go inside the gameplay menu, you can change the difficulty there....... it's said combat difficulty.... and whenever I load a savefile I manually save, the difficulty is different from what I started......... And in my game survivor difficulty also give you a warning that you can't change difficulty.... but I can once that first stealth segment occurs. Can you just try what I'm saying.... I know I must not be the only one who have this crazy situation....

How are you playing? according to the forum you don't own the game...
