The Rumor Come Out: Does Lara Croft is Gay?
A lot of people thought there was something between her and Sam in the 2013 game, and I just beat Cold Darkness and the girl on the helicopter seemed to be cuddling up to her.

I dunno, I just keep getting gay vibes from Tomb Raider games.

That's Rhianna Pratchett's rebooted version of Lara for us. Personally I'm glad she won't be involved any longer.

Really? I've really enjoyed the two reboot games. And, as a lesbian myself, it would be pretty cool to see Lara and another girl make a cute couple, so I don't really have an issue with it. I'm just more suprised. What didn't you like about her writing?

Wait, does she write the comics too?

Extreme plot recycling, every major character being slow on the uptake and unable to connect the dots, nearly major plot twist being recognisable from a mile away in a way that the big reveal is pretty much insulting to the audience.

Tomb Raider writer Rhianna Pratchett on why every kill can’t be the first and why she hoped to make Lara Croft gay:

Why do these people always write their characters as gay or straight? Why never bi? Why did Lara Croft's sexuality even need to be implied when the previous games, from what I know, never had love interests?

Urggg! I'm not paying to much attention about this, but seem like the sequel lost a lot of thing. I'm really concern about future of TR Reboot franchise, hope Crystal Dynamic can keep up pros, improve cons of previous games and Square Enix know what they having.

Exactly. Unless the sexuality of the character in a game is going to drive the plot in any way shape or form, it is totally meaningless to involve it at all.

I hope they don't make her gay - to me it would be just virtue-signalling to the SJW crowd. We hear it rumoured for so many characters nowadays. Let's make Spiderman gay, let's make James Bond gay etc. In fact homosexuality is quite a rare trait. More common amongst women but some would argue that females don't really have a strong sexuality bias anyway. In truth I am not that massively bothered but it would feel like a lazy move.

Since the reboot I´m a Lara Croft fan...before that I always found that She was a sex object or something like that...by the way, I´m not gay and don´t care if someone is or isn´t...

Rihanna Pratchet got fired, so you don't need to worry about her trying to mess around with Lara or her lifestyle anymore.

If the Reddit leak is true, that means Crystal Dynamics isn't making Tomb Raider anymore, Ubisoft Montrel is. They've made some games in the past that were pretty successful, so only time can tell if they're going to be doing more of what Crystal was doing (tps survival cinematic experience graphics extravaganza), or shift back to making games the way Core and old Crystal made them, or even something completely different.

Ubisoft again? Can't say I'm all excited about it. RotTR must've dealt SE a pretty heavy blow financially.
