weapons and outfits already unlocked?
So I just started this game and am about 25% through it. I like a challenge, and chose the hardest difficulty (which isn't that hard imo, but i still have the rest of the game to play...) and I noticed that 16 outfits are already unlocked, as well as multiple weapons. Haven't got the shotgun yet, but when I first got the makeshift bow or whatever, I noticed that I already had 4 or 5 options available to choose from. Now I have the pistol and got the assault rifle not that long ago, and the pistol already has all 6 (i think) options available and the rifle has all but one. What gives?

Are these already unlocked because I chose the hardest difficulty? because, honestly, that takes some of the challenge and replayability out of the game... I'd rather work to unlock these things on my own.

think its part of the 20th anniversary deal.

hmm that'd make sense. Like I said I just got the game so I thought the game itself was a "20th anniversary" release. I was curious why I had so many extra's attached with my purchase haha. And yeah there's a 20th anniversary outfit from TR III. Ok well thanks for the reply!

Play on Extreme Survivor and simply wear what you want, they literally are all completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ useless.

The bonusses are so bad you might as well just consider them cosmetic.

They are all from some DLC packs. The "normal" weapons still need to be unlocked, but anything extra will be available from the get go. It's pretty dumb, but that's why.

yepp, i asked myself the same. and the different bows/guns/bolt action rifle are all from the DLCs that come with the 20 anniverary collection.

dunno if i am allowed to link this but here is a handy guide about the weapons and where you get them: http://tombraiders.net/stella/walks/TR10walk/weapons.html

Right. Idk I suppose that I don't like the fact that for instance, when you get your first pistol, immediately 5 others or so are available, of different types. I'd rather play the game and get parts to unlock these different pistol types. Same comment for all other weapon types. Not that I know how many parts are there to unlock since I'm only 1/3 through the game, but I think my point stands...

They are extra not found in game. For the ones that you actually found in game you do need to find all 4 parts. Those are usually 'better'.

Example the bolt action rifle, you need to unlock it in game yourself. There's a variant gold plated of it that comes from DLC but it also needs you to unlock the actual in game first.

The extra weapons start unupgraded and share upgrades with the normal ones. The only real change is that you get to access them earlier than you would the corresponding normal versions (I think you need to reach the story point where you receive the first weapon of the given type, though).

Nah that's not true. I was using the gold bolt-Action whenever I got my first rifle, well before the regular bolt action was unlocked. And the gold and regular variants do have the exact same stats. Ergo, gun parts = worthless. Unless you're going for aesthetics.

+1. As soon as you get the assault rifle, the gold bolt-action rifle is unlocked, long before you get all four parts of the regular one. Makes completing the regular one kind of pointless.

Same goes for pistols. As soon as I got the first revolver, the heavy revolver, Moon Shadow etc. were also available. Same with bows. I got the custom composite bow (Deaths Breath) right after finding the first regular bow (in the prison).
