Ok. Seriously. How do I kill the♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥I-N-G bear. This is getting ridiculous.

And my bow is like the worst piece of♥♥♥♥♥♥ever. And how do I get new ingredients to make more poison arrows? I can only hold 2 at a time. Also, how much pain do I need to bring for him to go down?

Also, does he ever leave his "cave-area" when he gives chase after you have taken a couple of pot shots on him? ...... I just run like hell all the way back to camp basicly....♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ he is terrifying!

*SOLVED* That was probably the most halfassed played battle. I figured out that the bear never leaves his area. So the furthest he goes is to the ledge where u climb up to him. Then I spent half an hour chasing deers on foot (yeah, that is not very easy or fun) so I could stab them to death, Then FINALLY I got hold of some arrows. Then it was a matter of cheesing it from high up in a tree a mile away from the nasty beast.

Mushrooms are all around you. At the campfire, there is a tree stump full of mushrooms.
Before entering the bear cave area, there is another tree stump full of mushrooms.
The cave you are required to get mushrooms in the first place, has 3 little piles of mushrooms.
The Bear cave has 2 piles of mushrooms.
There is more than enough mushrooms to kill the bear (you can only hold 10 mushrooms until you enlarge your knapsack.
As for killing the bear, 4 poison arrows, then normal arrows & he should've died.
No matter the level, the bear takes the same amount of poison to kill.

You are spot on. 4 poison, but I only managed to get two for some strange reason. And out in the "open area" where the soldiers are and so forth, there are one(1) quiver of arrows... Pretty cheap since the previous TR they were just everywhere... And of course one more but that is in the bear area... Rock solid titles tho. Enjoying it very much. I just wich they didnt made Lara sutchy emo-emotional-soft-ass basket case in the reboots. Previous she was a one woman army pretty much like Terminator with boobs.

If you find all the collectables(there is a map up on one of the platforms in the trees), collect everything then go back to the campsite,you'll see that you can upgrade the 'carrying pouch'...
In 'easy' mode(you can change this at any time in the game) I killed the bear with 3 poison arrows...I just snuck up on him using the survival mode to highlite where his position...fired all 3 and he dropped right were he was.
PS: might want to get used to the bears , there are 3 more in the game(optional) if you want to go for %100 collectables.

The camp's stumps and caves contain poisonous mushrooms. There's also a bear hole door. Two poison arrows and a few more common arrows will kill the bear.

Uh, you know you can make your own arrows, right? With the bow picked as the main weapon, left click until Lara's quiver is full.
You can also make more poison arrows. Middle mouse does the trick if you have both cloth and 'shrooms.

yeah of course, but they made everything so wierd. It's a first you should hold leftclick for a ammo refill....I just confuse everything. Even if this is impressive I think that TR 2016 was more tied together. here its impossible to know where to go or how to get all the "gadgets" there apperently are. Where the hell are those?!


BTW. This bow n arrow silent killing bs they have totally taken to heart in the new TR. That is just fked. Lara used to be a one man army. Give me a fkin M60 with plenty of ammo. This "sneaking" all the f time and constructing and upgrading.... it just gets old. Fast.

Yikes...I think, as I"m not sure, the "gadgets" might be the lock-pick, the rope ascender and the tools to upgrade the different weapons and pourches. The lock pick is a reward and the ascender is bought as is 1 tool to upgrade.
There are other rewards, but they are outfits and weapon(s) parts or attachments. The grenade launcher can be purchased as well as the laser sight (I think I'm missing a gadget).

Btw, the checkpoints must be a little messed up in this game. I basicly had taken me across a whole level, baaarely before the yellow checker in the end I fell n died. Restart from second bonfire of the level. Thats not ok man =(

Sounds as if you're on Extreme Suvivor. Check points only at campfires & then you need the wood to start them.
If you are not on Extreme, you might to check the integrity of your game's files. On every other level there are way more checkpoints that what you describe.

What difficulty are you playing on? If you are on extreme survivour then that is why you are respawning far away.

It's not a military base, but a Research Base and you don't get to that until you are at least three-quarters of the way through the game. Also, you don't blow up "fuel depos."

Well, in TR2013, you didn't get those things immediately and you don't here either. 17% is not that far into the game. And remember in this game you have to scavange for the materials to make things.
To make arrows you need wood & feathers. Pluck a few trees, kill a few birds, and viola, you can make arrows.
The other bow(s) which are DLCs become available after you get the rope arrow ability when you have to travel to the Gulag. You've already gotten the revolver so all your other DLC hand guns should be avilable. Remember, you cannot switch to a different type of handgun unless you are at a campsite. Then you can choose a different type.
If the DLC hand guns are unusable, then I think you have a problem with your game and you need to verify the integrity of your game's files through Steam.
