Map making?

Has anyone thought of making maps for this great game or is it just me?, Replace mission maps or multiplayer maps with self created ones maybe?, Any thoughts or ideas people?

we are talking about real map editor, like one that allows editing landscapes by yourself, adding objects yourself to place you want and such, kinda like map creator that worms games do have.

its definalitely extremely hard to do for game like this, since its old ps1 port but i would not say its impossible, we simply just dont know enough about source of hogs of war so its hard.

Just in case you don't know it, you can actually mod the game quite easily and create your own missions. You just need a HEX Editor (or even simple text editor). You can use some other tools to insert graphics and so on. The only thing you can't completely customize at the moment is the mapdesign itself, you have to use the singleplayer or multiplayer maps (or the unused development maps hidden in the game files). It's super fun, you can change the pigs position, amount of pigs, ranks, crates, inventory, health, some scripted events, vehicles, build structures (trees, houses.....even outside of the map boudaries).

It's all in Russian language unfortunately, use some translator. I contacted this guy a year ago, you might do to if you want more info about modding (https://vk.com/avdeev4983). I played the mod myself, it's super fun and incredibly hard. Have Fun !

If anyone has the time & knowlegde. A leveleditor shouldn't be that hard to programm. You just need to exchange some HEX values with others.

DrStickyGames Videos shows the old version of the Hardcore Mod btw. he sent me a download link to the most recent version of the game.

Hello again, recently I received test maps from a Russian friend of mine. They are various customised maps of the original campaign missions. They are very glitchy however. But nonetheless, if you wish to try them out and experiment with them like I did then just send me a message.

Hello. Any advices how to play this russian mod? There is no fun for me when enemy at first mission has that much advantage. Second mission is even harder. Their hogs have about 3-4x more HP and promotions than my pigs.

Wow i'v just had a try and didn't have much luck!, The enemy pigs are way overpowered against grunts!, I guess just keep trying again & again. If not then consider using cheats to even the odds?

This campaign is really HARDCORE. You need to know every bug of the game to beat it. Only the very best players will beat it. Myself, I managed to get to the very last mission. The very last mission is verrrrrryyy funny but hard to get :D

Try to explore the map :) . I could do a walktrough on youtube when I have the time. On the first mission, there is a crate with a LOT of HX TNT if I remember correcty, just get it, and you're fine. (Maybe the crate drops only after a certain amount of time, I don't remember.)
