Really? Why not? Combo breaker's are in nearly every fighting game nowadays.
I suggest looking at the staple combo videos on this forum for the character you wish to play. That's a quick way to gain some understanding of what's happening.
Combo breakers aren't get out of jail for free cards. They usually come at a cost of something.
Tekken has no combo breakers. deal with it
even if it takes some sorta resource, the only thing tekken has that resembles something like meter is rage. if youre thinking we can just give a player the ability to combo break if they have rage, just think about that for a moment. tekken is a game that requires exquisite defensive skills and understanding of risk to excell at
what a rage combo break would mean, however, is that the losing player has the opportunity to go wild without any risk. if you read them or respond properly, they can just break out of the juggle you earned. at that point, either you have to win every round twice or just throw out gigantic moves and hope they kill them before they rush you down. the end of every round would be a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
combo breaks make sense for very combo-oriented FGs like anime fighters, where taking a single hit will get you in a combo, sometimes its strategic to sacrifice meter or burst to give you some respite and avoid getting caught in a nasty situation at any moment. tekken, though is a 3D fighter and plays very differently
Yeah, I think using stuff like that should be bannable offense.
I do not like this sort of "strategy" and I don't want to play with anyone who does that.
I agree, I really like GG and also BlazBlue's way of handling combo breakers.
