Can the things in the back of the ship get disabled? A real WipeOut Clone on PC of HD Fury would be an absolute dream for me! Plese make it like this as much as possible!

I have two possibilities!
One is this game will behave like WipeOut HD Fury!
The other is I have to pay for a PS3!
WipeOut, GeometryWars and the Starwars titles are the best games I have ever played!

Yes, I played thousand of hours on ps1!
I also played wipeout 2097 on the pc but it had a much worse performance than on the playstation.
Sometimes I lend a ps3 from my friend to play WipeOut HD Fury which (BlueRay) has a special place on my bookshelf!

I always dreamed about a WipeOut game for the pc! I hope they make no special things!

Wip3out games were always "arcadey". That's where the fun really lies. Every fun game that left you with a deep good impression was based on non-realistic game mechanics or physics.
Games depend on that "game"/"arcadey" feel to be successful. Just name a sim game, being it racer, first person shooter, adventure, or anything else that felt more fun/addictive and memorable than your favorite game/s whatever those might be.

Yes, I was generalizing... And to support that, I've asked you to come with whatever examples to counter that... Because from my experience, all the less realistic games so far were more fun for me than the more realistic ones. Every game that really left me with a good impression, was addictive, fun and unforgettable was based on unrealistic factors... I couldn't tell the same for more realistic games.

I really don't want this game to be like WipeOut HD... the physics are way too floaty for my taste. I think what they have working in the alpha right now is awesome and just requires a little tweaking here and there, but nothing major. I want this game to be exactly what the developers imagine and not a clone on WipeOut games already created.

You can't make this more like WO based on Sony own the rights to the game now, and Devs of this newer incarnation risk the reasons to be sued based on copy write infringements
The IP now belongs to Sony, I am pretty sure the Devs are well aware of likeness and what they can and cannot implement in this newer game
