I need to do some more thinking on this game overnight. My general impressions though? Well, I put it on to play a few minutes before bed, and it is now 2.30am and I just finished.
I was into the game and those characters enough that when I woke up on the boat at the end, I first sat down on the bench, which made sense for a tired person. But as everyone talked without even thinking about it I got up and walked over to stand next to Jonas, whom I had spent the whole game with.
The sequences when the reflections are talking to Alex.. Are.. Are those other players who have finished the game choosing dialogue for the reflection in other peoples games?
If so, I'm genuinely impressed; Like, my mind is blown by this idea. Genuinely - this is a genre I've always thought of as set-in-stone, but that inclusion is REALLY interesting.
As for the ending, I got off the island with everyone (other than my brother, which I didn't pursue at all), got Ren and Nona together, and made Clarissa hate me. I'm pretty sure I know when I got Ren and Nona together, but I'm really vague on where I stood with Clarissa. I didn't try to be mean to her, but I also didn't take her ♥♥♥♥. I also collected EVERYTHING.
I've got the ending where I closed the hole and woke up on the boat. Didn't take Clarissa deal with the ghosts and everyone escaped. Apparently I messed up on Ren+Nona thing. Is it because I brought that up on the beach? With Clarissa I tried to be cool through the whole game, and got her and Michael together in a dream. Didn't get any end stats for Nona though.
P.S. Is it worth letting Jonas contact his mother? My ghost prompted me not to.
Well whoever gets my reflection, I apologize but I just hit dialogue options randomly.
I'm so sorry.
You got the same ending as me.. But now that you mention it, maybe you need to find all anomalies/messages?
Just a theory.
I got the feeling the time loop was a given, like no matter what ending you got. Like, it's the big reveal that all of it is happening over and over again.
I didn't personally, I might do another run tomorrow or sunday and pick that option, see what happens.
If somebody else already has, please feel free to post it. Ofc, spoiler it.
The storyline wasn't really engrossing for me. The 'final battle' lines that I KNEW would help me out involved characters that I barely remembered or didn't really pay attention to sadly.
Wish there was a way other than screenshots I could use to mark all the endings I got. I got the second to last Jonas ending (as you can see from my screenshot). Really wondering what that small sliver is that's the lowest percentage...
