Oxenfree
Similar games?
So I played this game and found myself to be very impressed with everything it had to offer. I even plan on playing through it again, something I usually wouldn't do with these games.

In my contenders for game of the year, along with Brigador.

Are there any games out there that are similar? Like in story telling/narrative way? I was wondering if something like Kathy Rain was similar or not?

Thanks.

The Walking Dead by Telltale
Quantum Break, if your computer can handle it.
All the Telltale games.

But if you are willing to try something a little different (puzzle games with a vague plot you have to figure out- think of it as an extra puzzle) I would recommend The Room series and The Vanishing of Ethan Carter.:steamhappy:

Kentucky Route Zero
I agree with this, actually.

Kentucky Route Zero has a lot in common with Oxenfree, despite looking rather different.
Try SOMA. Story is super strong, along with graphics and audio that create amazing atmosphere.
If you're looking for good story games, a few I've heard are good include:

- Life Is Strange
- To The Moon
- Firewatch
- The Beginners Guide
- The Walking Dead Seasons 1 and 2
- That Dragon Cancer (This one is quite sad)

These games aren't all like Oxenfree as some are good for a single playthrough but some are good for multiple playthroughs. Also, the graphics and narration varies between each game but overall I would say that these would be some good games to play through if you want to play good story games. I hope this helps.
After a little while into this game I was getting major 'Until Dawn' vibes from it, just from the differing paths that choices can make, the similar concept of the kids in a horror-like setting etc.
murdered: soul suspect hasn't been names yet
Pathologic - mentioned above - is absolutely my favourite game of all time. But I don't think it's very similar to Oxenfree! For one, Oxenfree is pretty mellow for a "horror game" and lets you wander about and explore with few, if any, repurcussions. Pathologic is incredibly punishing. You have to constantly be thinking about balancing your health and hunger and trading items and scavenging for items and whether you've got your days tasks done. Plus, Oxenfree is a game of personal journeys - whereas Pathologic is about... well, it's hard to say... politics and metaphysics maybe?

I guess it's similar to Oxenfree in that it looks striking and it is quite unlike any other game though!
Thank you everyone! I appreciate all the recomendations

There's nothing of interest there, nothing from or about me anyways.

If you're trying to prove something just because I blocked you, you are just continuing to dig your own hole. Now please quit harassing and following me or I will contact a mod. This is the fourth thread you've done this on... very creepy. You've become obsessed I see.

Have a nice day :steamhappy:
