[FIX] If your game crashes after a while on Windows 10...

If your game crashes after a while after you launch it (it can be ten, fifteen, thirty minutes...) AND you're using Windows 10, try the following steps :

- close tabtip.exe, also known as "Tactile Device Manager", "Touch Keyboard and Handwriting Panel" or "Tablet PC Input Panel Accessory" (I still have to check the official name on Windows 10), through the Task Manager, it should solve the problem;

- if this doesn't work, and you don't have/need a tactile screen on your computer, disable the "Tablet PC Input service"/"Touch Keyboard and Handwriting Panel Service" through "services.msc" (just enter the name in the Windows search bar, look for the service in the list, right-click, Properties, and set it to "Disabled"); if this still won't work, do the same with the "Touch Keyboard" service;

- if your game keeps crashing after that, unplug any tactile device such as a graphic tablet (if your game crashes instantly, that may fix it as well).

Sorry I can't help much since I'm not a Windows 10 user... You should try checking your game's cache's integrity (just in case, Steam library -> BBCPE -> Properties -> Local Files -> Check the game's cache's integrity (or something like that)), sometimes it helps solving crashes coming from nowhere.
Also, did your game close while it was saving? Maybe your save file is corrupted and the game crashes because of it. Unfortunately, if that's the case, I have no idea how to solve it. Maybe checking the integrity of the game's cache could help too?

nothing in the servecis either.
Please are there any other fixes? I really want to play this game.

You should look for the "Touch Keyboard and Handwriting Panel" then (or whatever the translation, you'll see the tactile keyboard's icon next to it). It's basically the tactile keyboard. I might edit that if needed.

Does it crash after ArcSys' logo? If yes, it's a codec issue. Make a fresh codec install...

If it crashes instantly when you try to launch it, I've seen the following for BBCSE :

Anyways, it has NOTHING to do with a crash after a fixed (or almost fixed) amount of time caused by TabTip.exe, so you should probably make another thread to describe your problem more in detail.

Normally, closing only TabTip.exe should be fine from what I understood (I don't have Windows 10)... If it still doesn't work, close both.

Nevermind stopped TabletInputService and it worked fine!

You should still be able to re-enable it afterwards, just close it when you play (except if you use it as an alternative to a touchscreen or a mouse).
You can make a test and close it, then press the "Windows" key / go into the "Start" menu and type "TabTip.exe", then press Enter; it should restart the process.

It's not a problem on ASW's side as far as I know, other games are having this issue. I doubt they'll be able to patch this; only Microsoft can, I think.
