The game ran at default settings (720p, low AA and shadows, no V-Sync). The game doesn't change visual settings while ingame? I've tried some adjusting while running the game but it changed nothing.

I think the thing you need to do is enabling V-Sync. Don't forget to reboot the game.
i still cant climb but rather scuttle across walls, and fall so often vs the original..
what IS GOING ON?
elp?
If it won't help, maybe enabling v-sync through nvidia control center (or its AMD counterpart) and disabling it ingame would help. I've tried it, though, but I didn't like overall perfomance. But some people report it worked better for them.
