However, other developers have been able to gift free versions to folks who own versions of other games, in other complicated combinations. Hopefully this can be resolved soon - the game has 70% bad reviews now, and it's likely to keep getting worse.
Folks don't like being asked to pay $6 for an engine/texture tweak pack, when it's offered for free on GOG.
since this version crashes when you try to run the "native" 1080 resolution...(LOL), no point in getting it. who needs "optimizations" like that? game was fine before. sure a graphical update is nice, but most played this 3 years ago, why get it again now?
The "update" here is nowhere near big enough to justify purchasing it again. So if people don't get it for free, don't buy it again! They are missing on nothing worthwhile (as far as I can see...)
I understand some didn't have issues, but many do still.
