the problem i was having was that the dodging is hard to do because the camera follows right behind you and ineveitebly you end up dodging straight into a pillar of fire or exploding bug. Also the forward scythe move was not strong enough either because I was playing it at too low a level or because I was using a necromancer build
They give you the ability to enter the abyssal forge waaaay before you should have access to any wrath/steal abilities on your weapons. I was around 18 or so and you don't even get wrath steal items until 20 and health steal until around 22.
Basically I think that the camera was the biggest issue they should have pulled it out a bit like the boss of land of the dead. Also the fact that his pattern is random so hitting him can be once every minute or once every five.
what DPS do you have for scytes? about 1,5k should be ok.
The camera angle near the end of the fight ends up being behind alot of flame pillars so it can be hard to even see the boss not to mention the exploding bugs. Also the speed that the flame waves travel varies so it's a bit frustrating to time the jumps/dodges.
I understand how being at level 22 would work but if that's the expected level they should make it not unlock until the end of the game which is about when I hit level 22 (and that was with the extra experience I gained from doing the entire Abyssal Forge campaign)
and why does it make sense that the game should be balanced based off the levels of a strength based character. Also as I mentioned you can't get any health based weapons until you hit around level 22
also while there is a magic skill that can replenish health it is much later in the tree than the physical one and it also only works when you can hit the enemies and getting the birds to hit the bugs is a pain because it requires you standing still and the boss will wail on you
Neither do I have health steal weapons yet, but I use crit chance and health per crit as a substitute until I get some. The DLC is leveled to your level, not your strength, otherwise it'd all be the same.
