Angel portal not opened, can't interract with tree of death

I just spoke with the ghost at the tree, then teleported to the Crucible to try a fight, then when I came back I couldn't talk to the tree and neither was the angel portal opened, however I have the quest dot in the place it's supposed to be.

I went directly to the crucible, so at no time was the portal opened, and I don't know if I could have interracted with the tree as I went straight to the crucible.

I went for a quickie to defeat Argul and wanted to go report to Uthane and the ghost guy appeared again and opened the portal
