You're not supposed to fight Thane until later (you can defeat him early on, but one hit from him will likely end the fight).
The Weeping Crag is a higher level dungeon (Gorewood is Level 10 IIRC). You can clear it first thing, but you'll probably want to come back later, especially since you seem to be having trouble with it.
You can see enemy levels when you lock on (the level number appears to the left of the health bar). If an enemy is much higher in level than you are, you're probably going to have a tough time (and you should think about going somewhere else).
As for your other issues, you're not supposed to see the additional campaigns menu until you unlock the DLC campaigns (much later in the game); I'm not sure why it's showing up for you. And the problem with the character freezing after using menus happens if you use the Steam in-game overlay (you shouldn't use it when playing the game; if you do, you'll need to quit and relaunch to prevent the movement issue).
i'll do that, thanks a lot !
this game is atleast as good as the one you think ?
edit : ok, it's a semi open-world thing and i cannot clear everything i encounter. now the monster feel really weak >< thanks !
I've played games like Borderlands 2 (which I love) where bosses having undogeable AOE attacks, damage reduction based on levels, and health regen. These 3 things in combination make it impossible to beat them w/o appropriate leveling and gear. So I find Darksiders 2 game mechanics to be quite good because it doesn't require you to be at any particular level or to have specific gear to engage and defeat its enemies. Levels and gear simply decrease the amount of effort required to be succesful, which I think is a good way to design/implement and open-ish world adventure game.
