Thanks, that's a great explanation! I do have an old DS2 save file, and I can load it in DE and it works, but it's in one of the DLC locations, and there's no way to return to the main game, since DLC is handled differently in DE. I will try the editing method you game me with DS2 save files I found online. Hope it works.
Played the DE version to see how it looked compared and saved thta in slot one. Tried that save in the original version it had issues due to dlc.
My save at the Tree of Death (which I abandoned about 3 months after THQ disbanded) worked in both versions. On the Original edition (franchise pack) My save was in slot one. This then pushed my newer save (a week or three old) to slot number two. Now both versions have the same slots filled by the same saves.
The tree of life save has a bug in it so I can't offer it up. It;s been so long since I palyed that save that I can't even remeber the puzzle I am working on or how far thru it I am.
I know this is a while back but I am trying to do the same thing...Do I need Notepad ++ and Hex edit or just Notepad? What is a good place to download hex edit from? What line of code am I looking for to copy and paste. The steam account info. Thanks.
