For the weapon and health steal, I recommend either:
1) building yourself a possessed scythe with high critical damage & chance (if you play as Harbinger) or high arcane critical damage & chance (if you play as Necromancer), as well as health steal (both skill trees) and wrath steal (if you play as Necromancer). I made two videos about how to build such an overpowered possessed scythe, which I will link below, but the short version is:
- get 20 Book of the Dead pages > sell them to Vulgrim (buy some of his legacy talismans while you are there) > use the second key to enter the Death Tomb in the Kingdom of the Dead and get the Demonheart Talisman. Do NOT touch anything else in the tomb yet.
- Equip Demonheart Talisman and save. Smash weapon racks until you get a good possessed scythe (no stats on it, maximum damage as close to your level x 10 as possible).
- Teleport to a weapons vendor that you have not been to since the last time you levelled up and/or entered a new dungeon and save BEFORE you access them. Levelling up/entering a new dungeon reshuffles the vendor inventory.
- Check if they have a weapon with health steal. If not, quit to main menu, go back into game, access vendor again. Etc.
- Once you have a health steal weapon (the other stats should be easier to find in vendor inventory/general loot), build your possessed weapon. Sacrifice the health steal weapon first, then a legacy talisman from Vulgrim--now you have health steal on your possessed weapon. Next, sacrifice crit chance + legacy talisman, then crit damage + talisman, then wrath steal (if you have it) or strength/arcane (if you don't have wrath steal).
- Congratulations on your overpowered weapon. You can now beat the Crucible easily.
2) If you don't have the means to build a possessed scythe, use a scythe with high critical damage and chance (e.g. Chaos Fangs - you get them very early, but they level up with you) or high arcane critical damage and/or wrath steal (e.g. Crow scythes). As your secondary weapon, use Achidna's Fangs, which will give you health steal even on your scythe. Achidna's health steal is not as strong as what you would get from a possessed weapon, but it should be enough.
Good luck!
