You really have something wrong kid, every post you find about this game you bash it, while you are playing it right now...

To OP this is one of the best game you will ever play, what are your specs? Because sadly on the front page they are not right.

I am asking for help with the game of mistakes, and not judging it. I want possible solutions for any error

Try that:

Make sure your drivers on your system are current and up to date.

a. Graphic card drivers

b. Audio Drivers

c. DirectX Drivers

Start Steam
Go to library
Right click on Darksiders entry
Navigate down to Properties
Click on Local files tab
Click on verify integrity of game cache.

or:

Within the Darksiders II folder you should see 2 options for a Windows file update and a DirectX update. Go ahead and install those 2 .exe files on your PC and that may resolve your issues.

Instuctions below:

Head to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Darksiders 2

Install both dxwebsetup.exe & vcredist_x86.exe
Darksiders II Community Manager

-THQSledgehammer

or

try to disable steam cloud sync for this game and see if it Launches

or

If you have your steam installed anywhere but directly in your program folder move it back. google moving steam installation it is quick and easy, it fixed if for me. I guess steam is struggeling to find something.

or

Moving the Darksiders 2 folder inside steam apps to C:

good luck

Do you even have 64-bit operation system?
Ace Apr 21, 2016 @ 12:29am
No matter what i did i would not launch! when run from steam it would do nothing! when I double click Darksiders2.exe from explorer it would say "the application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click Ok to close the application"
so much trouble :/
tried reinstalling all visual c++ and reinstalled direct x too

I repeat: do you guys who unable to launch the game got 64-bit operation system installed? Because it requires so.

I think you should go to their website and ask there. I had a problem to run Darksider I (not II) 2 days ago, I had to remove LAV filter, just that, and it works perfectly fine now. I wonder if its not something like that your problem.

Good luck, sorry I can't help more than that.

Finally got it FIXED...

Reinstalled direct X and removed all visual c++ redistributable versions (2010,2012,2013 and 2015) both the 32 bit and 64 bit one's and cleaned registry and restarted the PC and reinstalled them all.. (both 32 and 64 bit versions)

and I also reinstalled .NET versions 3.5 and 4.6.... and removed everything in programs that said .NET in it

to uninstall .NET go to programs and features, then see for an option named "Turn Windows Features On or Off"...

untick the first two checkboxes which says .NET 3.5 and the second .NET 4.6 advanced services(although i'm not sure this one mattered at all).. after this restart go back there and retick the two checkboxes.. it will download and install a complete .NET version.. that's all :)

I don't really know whether visual C++ or .NET was causing this but it's fixed now...

I hope this proves useful... Good luck
