Missing Angel of Death body armor

I unlocked the chest containing the Angel of Death set, but the body armor was nowhere to be found.

I tried reloading the save, but the chest had already disappeared, as well as the four statues that you have to break in order for the chest to show up. All items it contained were in my inventory - except for the body armor.

I've tried looking for it at all vendors and the snake statue, hoping that it would get magically transferred, but nothing was there. And since the game uses auto-save with a single file, I can't reload older saves.

Is there anything I can do? That armor set looks really cool, and the body armor is arguably the most important piece. :(

But hey, stats-wise that armor is bad. So you will survive. i got that armor like 2 hours ago.

Can you gift armors in the game? Or is it limited to weapons? Would you mind gifting it to me?

Edit: Apparently, the gift/mail system was removed in the Deathinitive Edition? :(

I can send you my safe file. Luckily I didnt sell the armor. Its right at the beggining of hell so it should be very close to where are you now. Dont forget to **backup your safe folder** before you overwrite it with mine

Hi, sorry it took me so long to get back to you. Before accepting your generous offer, I did a test and backed up my own save file before advancing a little bit in the game. When trying to use my old file, it didn't work, and I lost the little progress I'd made since.

I didn't want to mess with Steam Cloud and risk losing all of my progress, so I just ended up finishing the game without the armor. I was a little disappointed at the ending (basically the same as DS1, with no advancements to the overall plot), so I didn't miss the armor that much.

Still, I'd like to thank you again for trying to help me and going the extra mile of uploading your save file. Perhaps it'll come in handy for someone else. Cheers!
