Why Crime craft is dead

Before I begin let me make 2 remarks, I normally do not like MMOs (but obviously make exceptions) and I also tend to shy away from PVP shooters.

That said, I liked this game when it first released (and even took part in the beta testing). Some of it's later patches (in particular the introduction of a crafting system) made it even more appealing to me. I'd stopped playing the game for quite some time.After years of not playing the game, I was feeling a wave of nostalgia and, despite all the naysayers, decided to try and create a character.

I played for all of an hour and a half, 2 hours tops before I realized this game has fallen into a terrible pit for several big reasons, all of which will scare away new-comers and have probably cost the game many of it's veteran players.

1) the beginning:

When Crimecraft first came out you actually had a choice from the get-go, not just to choose your character's appearance but faction as well. You could actually side with the police and be a cop. Had this feature been left in the developers could have had thousands of possibilities to choose from in terms of how gangs and police would have fought for territory and benefits PVP-wise. Depending on which faction you chose also changed your starting location.

Then it changed, all players started at a refugee camp (more on this in a minute) where you learned about the basics of the game, particularly combat and various types of missions. Fair enough, this fit in with the game's lore enough that I was willing to roll with it.

Now you have to hit level 6 to even get that far, as in you have to grind just to get to the tutorial. You have to throw yourself into a combat scenario to get to the tutorial area on how to handle combat scenarios, if that isn't backwards logic I don't know the meaning of the phrase.

2) Terrible imbalance

This fits in with the first part in that, like I said, you have to get to level 6 just to get to the tutorial. There are 2 ways to accomplish this, thats either to play the practice match, which is the same map and the same mission, a dozen or so times or go to the matchmaker. Every time I joined a PVP match I was set against players at LEAST 20-25 and above, with weapons and equipment that could instantly kill me and made sure to rub it in my face that I stand absolutely no chance at competing against other players whatsoever as I hit with a full 20 rounds of AR ammo and still could not get a kill.

So its either a grind-fest or get humiliated for 10+ minutes at a time. Tell me, how is this in ANY way a good layout to welcome in your potential new customers?

3) Classes

Another new feature, Classes are a series of pre-set slots which you switch between upon death. A feature that you once again must grind to achieve. This feature was not needed before, why was it included?

4) Pay to win

I understand that anyone can obtain the items players can purchase with real money but the point remains that when they already have all the best gear and you have to kill them to GET said gear, it can make life rather difficult all because your opponent was willing to dig a little deeper into his wallet (or at all). I can think of a lot of great Free to Play games that allow players to use real currency to buy items but most of these are asthetic and give them little to any edge over other players.


TL;DR This game has become a moneygrab, don't waste your time.

Sorry, friend. But looks like you can´t get it anymore. The achievments doesn´t unlocks on Steam, in-game yes, but not on Steam.

I believe that this game would intice more to play if it weren't so PVP oriented and return to a PVE based story quest type game. I find myself grinding through the game with the PVE modes for this reason.

this game sucks because of all the laggers getting a handicap so they kill you in 0.1 seconds, fabio is the biggest rager in a game i have ever seen seriously after every tourny he'd just go off and we'd all just egg him on and laugh at him, then one time me and my clan kicked his ass for once and he was just quiet, even his clan mates dont even like him

That's jst not true, buddy. If you follow the instructions given straight from the beginning of the game, you hit level 6 without ANY PVP matches and just a single run through the practice match.
