Help! Problems with Dr Fred & VCR! [spoilers]

I have inserted the tape into the VCR and played back, but it just goes to 10 seconds, then skips straight to 61. The IRS never appear. (I read that they would in the walkthroughs.) What is wrong???

When you insert the tape you must hit the red button (RECORD button) and you will record the IRS guys appear in real time. Then watch the tape in slow motion.

Thank you so much! It worked! I thought the red button was "stop"!!! -___- Argh.

I came here a lot later and had the same problem. The red button on the VCR clearly is a square, not a circle for recording!

Exactly! We usually associate the square symbol with meaning "stop"!
