Game stops working in start up.

I had the same problem, the game crashed after start. It was caused by a Video Capture app callde Plays Tv. it was include in my drivers from AMD.

I just uninstallde the Plays TV and it the game worked fine.

My girlfriend (whom I gifted the game) had the same problem on her laptop. One of the "tips" given on the DoubleFine support website helped solve the problem. The solution was to use the _Redist files given in the game's folder. After using the "repair" of the MS Redist x86, the game started just fine. Her computer updated to windows 10 64 bits not so long ago, for the record (so yeah, using x86 instead of the 64 bits version is not logical at all...)

Tried everything that was posted here and on their support page, game still not working.

uninstalled the play tv app that it downloaded and BOOM it works again

I need my plays.tv and a game should work with recording program. I played the original so i just refunded.
