Won't start on Windows 10
Tried everything in the two pinned topics. No specific error message regardless of running in Steam or direct. Jus the generic "your ap has stopped working" a few seconds after launch. Have emailed support with nothing but the canned auto-response. Any other ideas *not* covered by the pinned topics?

Let's start with your specs. It's definitely not Windows 10, because I also use Windows 10 pro and the game runs great.

Custom Build (Order Ref: 47793676 / Sales Order: SOHM037005 / 10-May-2014)
Corsair H80i water cooler, Intel i7-4770K @ 3.5GHz, Kingston 16GB DDR3 1600MHz HyperX Beast, Gigabyte GA-Z87X-D3H, Gigabyte GV-N1080G1 8GB, SeaSonic G-750W Gold, Samsung 128GB 840 Pro SSD, Western Digital Black 1TB SATA3, Seagate Barracuda 3TB SATA3, LG GH24NSB0 24x DVD writer black, Cooler Master N600 case, Logitech LS21 speakers, Win10 Home (1709). Logitech G303 mouse, Logitech K520 wireless keyboard. curved Samsung C32F391FWE 32". Logitech G430 headset.
Not listed is a whole bunch of flight sim hardware, mostly Saitek panels, pedals, etc.

I've been in touch with DF support and they were unable to help. We disabled all AV, all grpahics card apps, reset Nvidia to global defaults, run as admin, run in various compatibility modes, completed Windows updates, stopped any services related to graphics cards addons. Still not working. Graphics card is not over-clocked. Frankly, cannot remember whether CPU is, but I don't think so as I don't usually do overclocking.

Yeah that's interesting. I don't see anything in your specs that should be causing issues and it sounds like they probably already had you update all your video drivers and such. Something is clearly going on though. It's highly unlikely to be an issue, but have you tried starting the game without some that extra hardware plugged in, like your flight sim stuff? The only other thing I can think of is something is corrupted in either the video drivers or OS, But without it actually throwing an error message it's kind of hard to pin down.

Yeah exactly. I can't get a refund, and it was only five bucks anyway, so I'll probably have another crack at it at some point. My graphics driver is two or three versions out of date maybe, but not too far and it is the 'standard' Nvidia GeForce driver anyway. Luckily, most of the flight sime gear plugs in via two powered hubs, so I can unplug just the hubs and eliminate most of that gear. Its worth trying anyway (but not right now, 'cos I'm hooked on Elite Dangerous!). Cheers.

That's cool. I definitely recommend trying driver updates when you do get a chance. Sorry I couldn't be of more help and I hope you can eventually get it running.
