Day of the Tentacle Remastered

Day of the Tentacle Remastered

My favorite game of all time.
I don't know why but I played the original as a kid and it's always been #1. Maybe it's the humor or the art style. It's just brilliant.

Right there with you - played it over and over because games were limited in the dial-up days. It was always my favorite because it never stopped being funny. Loved Thimbleweed Park, but it didn't capture the magic of this game the way I was hoping it would. Sam and Max Hit the Road is a close 2nd for me.
Nice to meet kindred souls! I had SO much fun playing it when I was younger, at the time it was pushing the boundaries visually, I still dig the original pixel art more although I appreciate the revamped version as well now. I supported the Thimbleweed Park kickstarter but to be honest haven't played it fully yet. Always wanted to make a classic point-n-click adventure game but haven't found the right parntners yet, anyone's got skills?
I play a DOS version in 1995 I think. Il was my #1 with Sam & Max Hit the Road.
I play the Linux Remastered version in 2017 and the pleasure was the same!
I did not played the original but looks like I missed something, loved the remastered version.
I think all in all, my favorite adventure game of all time was the Discworld series, can't believe nobody ever made a remaster, it had wonderful graphics.

Loved Thimbleweed Park aswell

But as a game of all time, mine was much X-COM UFO Defense and X-COM Terror From The Deep from Microprose, that is why I'm following Xenonauts 2 development as it is the closest continuation I could find.

Day of the Tentacle is a great game but for the Lucasarts adventure games, I did prefer Full Throttle and The Dig personally. Full Throttle is just so cool I loved the graphics, the whole story, the music and especially the Polecats leader Ben and the voice actor who played him. The Dig is a wonderful, mystery science fiction story although the puzzles were the hardest I've encountered in any adventure game so far.
Monkey Island 1&2 then this. Lucas games were top of their field and cannot be toppled.
Right there with you guys. I still own the original DOS CD along with the manual dated '93. DoTT is still THE P&C adventure to beat on my list.

Full Throttle was almost on par with DoTT. As was Grim Fandango and Monkey Island 1&2. The very first Sam & Max was also a lot of fun to play.

Zak McKracken, Loom, Curse of Monkey Island and Indiana Jones games (both the Last Crusade and Fate of Atlantis) are other honorable mentions.

I never quite got a taste for the Dig. It was okay but in all honesty it never reached the level of the other LA adventures for me. The original Maniac Mansion was also fun but less entertaining to me.

Of course these are all personal opinions.

Already tried that one. A nice, albeit short, fan-made spinoff/sequel. Looking forward to playing more of it but it has not been updated for the past 2+ years. So, not really holding my breath.
Yes, I never owned this game when I was a kid in 90s, but I played this with at my friends house. Saturday mornings etc. we gathered around his PC and played this game so much, that even over 20 years later, I still remembered those puzzles :D

Good times. Sam and Max : Hit The Road is another of my favourite games.

And this is still a fun game to play.
:theworld: loved it a as kid, and still loving it as grown adultkid :P :theworld:
I think I might be missing something here. FIrst playthrough and I find the puzzles to be awful in general. I think I'm stuck, I'm making progress at random and literally nothing makes sense. Why did I wash the carriage? Why did the book make the horse fall asleep? Why can't Bernard pick a piece of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ gum off the floor?

Edit: Scratch that, I'm converted. Once you sort of click with the game's sense of humor you actually get a lot of hints.
