Hey Great to add an offical thread for this myself and lenovive had one going, but it got spammed down the list and people never got to see it.
Heres the URL : http://steamcommunity.com/app/387990/discussions/0/451851477869017150/
Enjoy the game immensely
2. More "scrap" parts. Because I love the idea that we are building things out of scrap.
3. Keeping the theme of scraps, perhaps some extra dirt on the textures to make it feel a little more gunky?
4. Sloped, curved, corner and a couple of extra bumps to allow wider variety of builds.
5. (I know weapons are coming in some or another.) but I want to say, please keep the theme of "Make it yourself." By giving us basic damaging components, maybe a canon that shoots only forward so that we have to make the turret. Or a bomb which we have to work out how to launch.
6. A development road map of planned features. (This has been requested many times.)
I like the lighter than air idea above, the balloons in GMOD we're pretty fun and interesting to tie into designs but I'm not sure how physics intensive something like that would be.
I recommend using Trello for public roadmap purposes (see Unturned/Stranded). Also weekly/biweekly updates would do a lot to keep people interested, similar to what the Killing Floor team do.
Regarding survival mode suggestions from me:
I know this is a big stretch, but have you guys considered some programmable elements?
I don't know if you've ever played Little Big Planet, but that game has an excellent set of tools for making very complex creations, mainly because it gives the player the ability to easily write their own logic circuits using logic gates.
And I don't know if this is even possible but I would love to be able to build with angles, like 45° instead of 90° maybe trough the use of a block with enables one to start building in a 45° angle
EDIT: For the future, it would also be nice to have a greater variety of sensor capabilities (distinguishing between objects and people, kinds of objects (static or mobile), kinds of materials, etc.).
Also, the possibility to place multiple lifts at once would be very nice. If I work on a tall vehicle or a loose object which needs the lift to be held in place, it would come in handy to have at least a second lift ready to access the higher parts of my creation without building a static structure like stairs. You could for example use the interact-button on a certain lift to define which lift should be controlled by the up/down buttons.
first is to disable creation.
i am trying to make an automated vehicle that captures every object and reacts to the environment. but when going down the vehicle, it go away. i don't have the chance to disable it to edit it again on the lift
next, it's take and drop.
pls give us a chance to take things instead of erasing and make a new one and connect every single thing again. when we already connect one thing to a lot, and do some expansion and have to move the thing, we don't have the time to do it anymore, from the beginning
and now, the weight system
it's really hard to make a vehicle since all i know is three measurement way of objects in this game that is light, medium and heavy. but the measurement really have different weight for every object, so please add weight to be numeric
an adjustable propeller
the propeller can be adjusted for accelerating and power propeller. if this can be done then the next feature is really helpful
an scalable and adjustable sensor
i wonder if the sensor can be adjusted to scan straight things and scan around it and also add the measurement of scan power so the scanner can scan things from different distances for every scanner, and able to change the max and minimum distances. also the closer stuffs scanned, the stronger the sensor will send signal (for this, a new type sensor is also ok)
adjustable blocks
the blocks just have square box type. to make the players of this game even cooler, please make the blocks to be changeable shape like half ball, fourth ball, slope, etc.
add things on slope blocks
if you really can change the shape, then please make us to be able to add things in the slope shaped ones. i really need scanner to be put in there, so it can scan the land better than just scanning straight down
make bushes scanable
why this immortal undestroyable thing can't be scanned? if my sensor can catch the thing, it would be great for the AI car and hover drone i'm making
a second lift
i was making a big thing but i can't reach it because the game only allow me use one lift at once. so i have to jump all the way to the top. (if only i could double jump or jump higher, this won't be a problem)
right-click equipping
when looking for stuffs, i need to make a drag to the tool bar, but why won't it changed to right-click to equip at currently selected slot?
this might be my own opinion, but i believe that some players also experiencing what i'm telling so please dev, give us all you got to make this features. I humbly hope these will come up soon ^_^
I could build some pretty good mechanical ones (as fast and compact as they can be, I believe). But they're still too slow and would make you wait for ages if stacked into more complex logics...
If would be awesome to share and vehicles and creations with others!
