Is the Steam version censored or has it altered artwork anywhere?
Other way to ask: Is there a version of this game in existence, with artwork altered in any way possible, then the Steam version?

[...] Caladrius on the Xbox 360. It was a toned down version of a super fanservice heavy vertical shmup that was a little light on content but super approachable and pretty fun. H2 now brings the restored Caladrius to western audiences with Caladrius Blaze, featuring all kinds of extra goodies, less censorship and restored VO.

apart from that I have no other info, no idea if anyone else can help you, other than that this is Blaze, so it's the Ps4 version.

There's Caladrius and then there's Caladrius Blaze.

Caladrius was released on the Xbox 360 in Japan only and was uncensored. Years later it was released on western Xbox 360 stores digitally with censored artwork. As far as I know the western digital release of the original Caladrius is the only censored version.

Caladrius Blaze was released for the PS3 and later PS4 in Japan and is uncensored. It has all the DLC from the 360 release of Caladrius as well as an extra mode although it cuts out the original mode. Blaze also had a physical release for PS4 in Asia with English subtitles that was uncensored.

I'm guessing the Steam release will be a port of PS4 Asian release that had English subs. Honestly the fan service is pretty tame anyway.

As Jozzz is correct in all aspects, yes, the Western overseas (US/EU) digital release of the X360 version is altered/censored/etc., all other versions however are Uncut/Uncen./Etc.

Also, Original Mode is still kept in Blaze Jozzz, there's probably some confusion, maybe you mean from the Arcade's "AC" version (of difficulty) I suppose.

But yes, as it is, the PC/Steam release of CB is more likely the PS4 version with all of the same content. But, in Blaze specifically, you can get both the original and altered art in the game's gallery by playing/clearing both Evo/Original and/or AC/Arcade mode once each. So, its the best of 2 sides put together. Other than that, yeah, the fan service is rather more or less tame, you can turn it off in the Options.

The Store page has an ESRB T rating on it (viewed from North America), so maybe temper your expectations.

Its also rated T in the console versions too, so its still the same regardless.
well so one of the studios that acutally managed to get around the "fanservice" problem. I personally want to have it uncut so yeah. but it is nice to see that they make it appealing to everyone and don't just let it flip through censored. Sadly a lot of games do that and don't consider an uncensorpatch or options to turn it off or on.

Its not like we need the fanservice anyway. We already have Senran Kagura and GalGun for that market anyway.

Speak for yourself, I'll take what I can get.

Wasn't the arcade version censored too?

Well, IIRC, yes, AC/Arcade mode has the altered art. But some of it is better in Results screens. Since you don't usually see the entire playable cast in usual settings. (Though this was also on the Digital US/EU X360 release too.)

In what sense? Its not like the game is censored in any way (besides the AC mode), the gameplay is roughly the same regardless. The issue is the Character Artwork, in which you can either turn it on or off anyways.
