Issues with the demo - light, view, damage

Gave the demo a (short) run. Had just to give up in the first mission, I had a lot of issues. 1. Darkness. A lot of games wanna be dark, this one of them. It just feels overkill. No flashlight, torches are time and quantity limited. Reach is pretty limited too. Will this be balanced/changed? 2. View Can't see much, can't really aim. There is a dang goblin in the way. Checked settings, cant change camera. Will this flaw be adressed? 3. Random player damage Traveling the caves, the goblin started to take...

Hey everyone, we’ve got a big update to share about Goblin Company!

First up, the demo is live and ready for business!

Grab your fellow goblins, jump into the mines, build some rails, push the cart, and try not to die.

We’ve recently rolled out several updates improving stability, fixing crashes, and polishing the overall mining experience. The cart behaves better, Hardcore mode actually works, and a lot of small tweaks that just make everything feel smoother.

If you tried an earlier build, things should feel better now. If this is your first time playing, welcome to the Company. We hope you survive your shift.

Demo is out Now!

The demo for Goblin Company is live on Steam.

Play the first stretch of the game: dig into the tunnels, build rail networks and see how deep you can go before the darkness gets you.

Grab a few friends and play together! The game supports co-op, and things go wrong faster (and better) with a team.

This demo version has limited content, most notably:

One single biome
Only some technologies unlockable
Just a glimpse of the underground threats
No automation and no end goal

Try it, break it, tell us what sucks or rocks. Feedback at this stage will shape the full release.

To the developers, The idea of the game and the trailer looked fun! However, we had to stop playing after a short time. We really wanted to play it and even restarted twice. Why did we quit? The rail building system, the transport mechanics, and placing torches were catastrophic. The three core gameplay elements were not playable.
