if anything the sequel will die out if they do not transfer over some stuff it doesn't have to be the whole library of items but at least the Nickelodeon one's or other promo ones imo i think smite 2 will end up like ow2

Nothing is getting wiped, in fact a lot of stuff including skins will be carried over into smite 2 and smite 1 will continue to be live even after smite 2 is released. There is actually an event happening right now were you can earn up to 11 cross Gen skins for smite 1 and 2 for free simply by reaching mastery with as many gods as possible so this double worshipers is actually quite nice for both players sticking to smite 1 and those switching over to smite 2.
