Login screen with just 'Reconnect' button.
Is anyone else not able to login to Smite? I hit the Play button, the splash screen comes and the next login screen is simply a 'Reconnect' button. And the screen does not even have a textbox for Username and Password. Just the Reconnect button.
Pressing the Reconnect button just gives me the text 'Player Disconnect'.

Anyone else facing this issue?

Try restarting the client. I can log in fine.

Doesn't help. Been trying to login since an hour. All I get is a Reconnect button at the login screen.

I don't want to sit and re-download the entire game just for this bug. And the Help and Support for this game takes ages.

Have you tried restarting Steam, then running Steam as Admin (right-click on Steam), and then Verifying the Integrity of the Game Cache Files by right-clicking on Smite in Steam and going to Properties and the Files tab? You might also try the HiRez Diagnostics tool that should have installed with Smite, or maybe try rebooting your computer as well.

I've tried all of it, AGAIN. I just can't seem to fix it.

This is the first time I'm seeing such a screen ever since I started the game. I've even tried searching online if someone faced the issue in the past. There seems to be no mention of such a bug. So, it has to do something with this patch.

Update: Issue got solved. I simply kept the game open on that screen for 15 minutes. It all of a suddent logged in. Just wow.

Update: I'll take that back.Im kicked out of lobbies. Can't play. I restart game to be back on the Reconnect screen. This game ...

Patches often end up being buggy for some users. Submit a Support Ticket and stay tuned to the official forums at smitegame.com, the Smite subreddit, or the HiRez Twitter accounts... That's all I can offer you at this point. Sorry.

Leave Smite open on that page for some time. I eventually got logged on.
Sometimes the Smite servers are down, and that could also be the issue too.

Anyone still having this problem? I get the same error. Logged in fine, but once I get into the game menu all I see is a "Reconnect" Button.

Tried searching all over google for an answer, but to no avail.

Had no problem before this, went on a hiatus for half a year and I get this error.

I've tried flushing my dns, reformating my laptop, redownloaded Smite a few times on both Steam and stand-alone client. Not sure what else to do honestly.

You could also try right clicking on Smite in Steam (again, while running as Admin as above), then Properties and the Files tab again, but this time try Redist > InstallHirezService.exe.

Otherwise, I'm not sure what to suggest for you.

Did you try leaving it on that screen for some time? Or, just wait a day. It will get back to normal.

I played Smite yesterday and bought some gems. Today I got the same error mentioned above. I tried to start the game as admin and i already reinstalled Smite. Nothing changed ...
