+Seeing how the error is either the lack of redistributeables installed, or them being corrupt, it would make sense to rerun them. You could also try getting them through an official download as well. I forgot the link to them though.
So many issues? I got it working the first time I tried it. Almost every single issue can be fixed by just running Smite and Steam as admin. For the few tricky bugs people have, reinstalling parts, like the redistributeables for example, or stopping and starting the hirezservice are what others need. Not sure if you know, but hotfixes aren't just a bandaid, they're actual fixes to bugs. I think the biggest problem is just how the launcher and Steam interact, because both of their previous games, tribes ascend and global agenda, were pretty much fine.
It also doesn't help that half the time, it's someone who picked up a 400-600 dollar laptop at their local walmart trying to play games on it. Same with people who have crappy internet and blame their issues of latency and ping on the game, rather than what's really at fault.
Maybe an actual utility or service, but a game?
