SMITE

No audio device detected
My Smite has no audio device set in audio settings, the options empty and greyed out.

Tried reinstalling several times, deleting configs in user folder, installing vie steam or directly with the launcher - all to no avail.

I have multipleworking audio devices, but Smite doesn't recognize any of them. Sound works fine everywhere else but Smite.

I did some digging, looking specifically for my problem + Unreal Engine.

I deleted all the xaudio* .dll-files in Windows/System32 and /SysWOW64 and then re-installed directx (which i tried before, but hadnt deleted the dlls beforehand).

Aaaaaand: That did the trick, my sound is back!

here´s something i found.
Apparently when you switch sound devices to much theres a bug which shutsdown the game and then when you come back to the game theres no sound devices.

Just go to the smite install folder Binaries then redist and click on both UE3Redist versions in the folder after that it should work again.

Thank you, that fixed it for me ! (I also restarted my computer which probably had some effect but idk)

So .... for the sound probleme...

Go to your install directory of SMITE ... delete contents of SMITE/BattleGame/Config directory.
After that ... go to you STEAM aplication ... click right on SMITE game ... properties.....
select Local Files TAB .... verify integrity of game files.
will find 12 files missing .... and download them.
restar SMITE .... HF

I have a problem like this. I don't hear anyone's voice, nobody hears my voice.
My Smite's sound settings have no sound devices, the options are blank and look gray.

I tried to reload several times, delete configurations in user folder, install vie steam or directly launcher - all in vain.

I have a hard-working audio device, but Smite doesn't recognize any of them. The sound works well everywhere except Smite.

I had this problem after setting up Voicemeeter Potato, and your solution fixed it. Worked like a charm, and I surprisingly didn't even lose my gameplay settings. Thank you SO much!

Do you one better, EXIT Smite, you can't be in game. Now edit SMITE/BattleGame/Config/BattleEngine.ini and find the [XAudio2.XAudio2Device] section, then find the DefaultAudioDevice= and delete everything to the right of the equals. So that it is blank instead of the sound card that was in there. When you reload smite your audio settings be back.

THIS HELPED SO MUCH!! It has changed a bit though, its now on SMITE/Engine/Config/BaseEngine.ini. I cleared all values on both [WinDrv.WindowsClient] and [XAudio2.XAudio2Device]. Just make sure to not clear AudioDeviceClass=XAudio2.XAudio2Device under the [WinDrv...] section everything else goes including the Joystick Input :winter2019happyyul: Once again thanks to Manure to finding this out!!
