Stuck on loading screen - Then sent back to god selection

Hello,

I've recently had a new problem where I'll be able to play several games on smite without an issue, and then for one match I will pick my god, go into the loading screen however I won't load in. Around two minutes later I will then be sent back to the god selection screen with my god standing there however not letting me click anything.

Can't seem to find a solution anywhere, any ideas?

Only solution I've found is to exit and force the game closed then restart, you should still make the match beginning.

is it still happening in 2021 ? I experienced the same thing.. it went on for a good while with me & I just quit playing. The PS4 never did this which was odd. The PS4 was always ran with a Ethernet cord. Makes me think the problem is some sort of connection issue or with in Steam itself take your pick. I read this same forum in the past... I was just wandering did anyone ever figure out why Smite was doing this ?

Maybe try reaching out to support? They can be slow, but (ideally) they'd have the resources to help.

Seems to have affected a decent amount of people too.

I'm not aware of any fix, but maybe someone else is.

its the servers, it's been a thing forever but in season 8 its been particularly bad. Probably because they are old servers and we just had a big season update and a bunch of people came back and they can't really handle the numbers. It should die down once a bunch of people stop playing again.

It happened sometime ago to me and my friend too, it's a weird one for sure, restarting the game worked for us but it was months ago so idk if it still work

I can confirm this is still happening to this day. Takes away any reason I would have to want to play the game when everytime I try to I get hit with abandon debuffs and punished for playing.

Happened to me today too, and I am very new to this game starting to enjoy it and then bam, majorly puts me off.

2022, still an issue. Just bought all gods on sale and now regretting.
