Do you know how to get an Xbox 360 controller to work for Smite? Because neither of them seem to work respond on Smite.
1. Make sure the hardware is correctly recognized by Windows first. Whenever you plug it in, Windows should make a dootdadoo sound to signal it sees the new hardware. You can access the 'Devices and Printers' or 'Device Manager' control panel on your pc to see if it is connected properly.
*Try making sure this happens before running the game, I've never had a problem with Smite but some games won't recognize controllers after loading.
2. Xbox controllers have always been plug and play though you might need to update the drivers manually. There is usually an option to force this though I can't find it atm. If you can see the controller in the Devices and Printers panel you can try right clicking on it and select 'troubleshoot' and see if that helps (couldn't hurt to try).
3. Also, check key bindings in settings (Binding 2) to make sure it's even set to do something when you press buttons on the controller! If this works be sure to facepalm before enjoying :)
*I regularly use a 360 controller but I just tested out my One controller and it worked with no issues*
