So will things we own on smite pass over to smite 2?
And talking about skins etc, basically like what happened in overwatch 2.
Where can i find information on this? Truthfully i just saw the trailer, but knowing these guys a whole ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ will follow up.

No. They play the greed card and want you to buy all your skins again (for half price wich is Still A FREAKIN LOT). There is multiple outlets reporting that this is confirmed. ALL the money you spent will stay in Smite 1.

Skins wont carry over.

In Smite 2 you'll get a new currency based on how many gems you've bought/obtained in Smite. Those gems can be used to up to 50% off content in Smite 2.

So if you've spent $100 in Smite, to get that back in Smite 2, you gotta spend another $100.

The way i understood it you get all the Gems refunded AND a 50% discount on top of that for as long as you own Legacy Gems.

People need to put everything in one topic instead of having multiple topics on the same issue.

Not gonna repost, just link to what I said.

they might see the many different posts as a bad thing and might do something about it so might aswell keep it going.
I would feel really stupid for playing the game for 11 years, buying skins, being trolled, being banned just to see it all start over again XD love hirez, never stop trolling!!!

This is the same, they could just build the game like they are doing now And implement in on a bigger downtime during one of the maintenance days. And just keep everything the same. Yeah overwatch just got some new stuff and a name change. Less work etc. They have the ability to do that here too. Anyhow are you justifying the money hungry behaviour? Thats what we are hating on here. These companies have the resources to do exactly what i mentioned above but rather go with the robbery in plain daylight.

Doubt there will be any skins at all from Smite 1. Takes too much resources to port them to Smite 2. You'll start off with buttloads of gems that you can use to buy the new skins that will come for smite 2 specifically and then they'll probably add the old skins over time.

I get it its hard but , if i cant have all the stuff i spent money on, i would not start playing smite 2.
So what happens to smite then will it shut down or are they gonna both be out running side by side?? Cause this is super important. If they decide to close it down they will face a lot of backlash to the point of permanent damage to the game's rep and player base. Like its no excuse to give me gems to buy " new " skins. I want all my limited and unlimited skins from all the odyssey events . And everything i worked for through the years. Like i am pretty sure its not just me that would quit over this, people with less time and money invested as well. Why would i want to start something over from the start. Makes absolutely no sense.

Thats not how it works, the legacy gems will be used to pay for up to 50% of an item.
So lets say you want to buy a skin that is worth 800, you can use up to 400 legacy gems and the rest you would have to pay with the new gems. That means they could double the price of skins at any point, and you would have to pay without the so called "discount"

So its technically a 50% "discount" on items but not really. This is really scummy in my opinion.

Scummy doesnt even cover it . Lets say i paid 1k over my lifetime in smite. Now i got to fork over another 500 to get MY stuff back? My brother what do you mean. That is insane.

Oh no no, its worse than that. 99% of the skins in the game will NOT be in smite 2.
They gave a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ reason of "It will take 2 months or 200+ man years to remake a skin from 1 to 2" (Which i think is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥), but if they dont want to remake the skin, they could literally just port it over with few changes, yes there will be a quality difference, but so what? we already have the same problem in smite 1.

Aint no way in hell a fully made skin cant be ported in a couple of days.
