? for people with priv profiles/hidden stats
Why do you guys put endless hours into something yet hide it from everyone
What do you have to hide(always found it weird)

Because people don't want to? Is it your right to know about their profile?

Some claim because they don't want others to know their ranked history which might put them at a disadvantage. This logic makes no sense because most metas are rigid and predictable so people already know what picks/bans are coming. In reality, almost all cases of people hiding their profiles is because they are hiding or are insecure about something.

In DOTA, virtually every high ranked player has their profile public across multiple third party trackers, and these people tend to have the most elitest personalities ever. Of course, when you do a little digging you find that their high rank was achieved through boosting, playing in premades (in DOTA you can have a premade of 5 people in rank), or they acquired that rank during times when it was very easy to rank up.

Put yourself in their shoes, if you had 10,000+ worshippers for God's like Loki, Thanatos, Aphrodite, Nu Wa, etc. would you want people to find out? Imagine the embarrassment.

i mean idk, i personally left my og account on private a lot even in ranked so people wouldnt see what gods i mained , plus thirsty trolls will look for something to latch themselves to , so the less info the better. when i first began playing though i also mostly just played normals, so i didnt really see my account in some weird competitive light either until later on, i didnt rlly want people to see me that way

it's natural to be insecure about stats when you're just learning a game early on :P

:steamfacepalm: you clearly don’t know that other countries censor what people are allowed to say/ask/do online but that’s fine stay in your bubble

Cause ya know china wont kick your door down or anything if you play more then 5 hours a week or say something about the government or the PUBLIC game of csgo where they change skins to censor the gore for china cs
