There is no straight answer to that question. What each person prefers will vary, and which God is best will vary based on the situation.

Again, there is no straight answer to that. To get a general idea I suggest looking at sites like smite.guru Check out the leaderboards and top esports players. See what gods they play, look at their builds and check out any that may stream or post to youtube or twitch.

Personally i love Kukulkan, but people says it sucks... I still use it anyway

Where do you normally play and who have you been using so far. The gods are pretty balanced so finding one more in line with your playstyle is more important IMO.

Best hunters for me would be Medusa and Artemis.
Mages would be Nox, Chronos, Isis and Hel

The best Hunters in my opinion are Neith, Xbalanque and Rama. They all have strong abilitys and a escape. Best Mages: Ah puch, Anubis, Kuku, Nox(although Nox has a weak early game in Conquest), Ra, Scylla and Janus. Yes I just said almost every mage in Smite. It all depends on your gamestyle and what your team needs. Every god in Smite is Good.

to not say the redundant line, "there is no best god, every god can be good with a good player".
in terms of staying behind and doing craptons of dmg; scylla, kukulkan and ah puch. all the other mages require some sort of maintenance in close range and/or use of auto attacks.

If we're being specific about grammar, then you should uncapitalize God as you're not referring to the religious entity that Christianity worships. You're reffering to a general term, so it's like saying "pencil", etc. For the gods that are my best: Nu Wa and Kukulkan. I like Kuku's extremely annoying aoe that scares away most people, even tanks if you build enough MP. Nu Wa's stun & burst combo is very efficient on squishy people, and allows for your team to finish people off effectively. If you see someone that's 25% or lower, just global ult and you get a free kill.
