Am I the only one who gets annoyed at all the "gg"s?

No point in discussing anything with you when you have to resort to such foul ways of discussing something. Funny how someone who preaches being respectful, being positive and vouching that people don't have hate in their hearts .... does all that. Especially when I have never insulted anyone or even said about using "GG" was wrong. I've only ever said that using GGWP after a stomp match can easily be perceived as being sarcarstic or ignorant. That's why I encourage people to use other phrases or to not saying anything, in a polite and respectful manner.

I haven't resorted to anything foul. You are maybe bitter about some hard truths. For instance if you disrespect someone, it's possible they might just disrespect you back. If you say silly things you just might get mocked. It's so ironic, you're the one with all the attitude flipping out about someone saying gg after a landslide match. You expect everyone to coddle your feelings so you don't face the reality that you got bbqed. The gg after games is working perfectly fine. You will just have to deal with it at some point.

Yeah that was pretty hilarious. I was legitimately trying to have an open discussion with someone who has a different take on what constitutes as being respectful in games where people get stomped. I tried expressing my opinion, reasoning behind and using analogies.

Didn't think Midnight would fly off the handle like that, I just wanted to have a discussion and express my opinion lol. I feel saying GG after a stomp is disrespectful, he doesn't. Didn't have a problem with that, I just wanted to express the same sentiment as OP. That saying GG after a stomp could be interpreted as an insult. Though, like you said and I agree; it's subjective. I mean if someone really wants to see GGWP as an insult, they will. Again, I could be biased from my RTS days but I feel GGWP after a stomp is being sarcastic. However you could actually just be trying to be respectful. I generally see it as such.

That's why I'm okay with people using GGWP if they are trying to be nice. I'd just prefer not saying that after a stomp is all. 'Course I can't make you do it if you don't want to. That's why I tried convincing people not to. :)

people are different, countries are different, people dont understand it. and therefore dont accept it.
worst part about that is, some guys try to convince everybody from their personal truth they are so 100% sure about accepting no other opinion, that isnt a discussion thats a failed brainwash attempt.


this attitude leads to dicatorships (not speaking about the topic anymore, but more about about the general attitude.) where if you dont accept the public opinion you get imprisioned or executed. all in a "good" intent to teach the people the truth and lead them something better.
if you have a different opinion you are "crazy" or a liar who wants nothing else but to lure persons away from everything good and righteous.

some might think my conclusion is extreme. but thats probably because iam from germany and we had a well known dictatorship 80 years ago and its terror affecting peoples mind more or less in a omnipresent way to the present day.
and eastern germany suffered even longer up to the 90s under a opressive government.

just let other peoples their opinion, even if you think they are wrong dont be mad about it.

I'm sorry but you can't come onto a forum, be disagreed with and then throw up "personal opinion " as some sort of full proof defence. If you aren't willing to have your personal opinion questioned you shouldn't be posting it in a public space.
