Yes, Roman is one of the 5 pantheons currently in the game, the others are Greek, Egyptian, Hindu, and Chinese.

Also greek and roman gods have ALOT in common. E.g. Posiedon is the god of the sea and is quite similar to Neptune.

That's cause the Romans basically stole/reimagined a number of the Greeks' gods as their own.

Which is why i am surpised to see hercules as a Roman God even though hercules was the son of Zeus.

Heracles was the son of Zeus and is the original Greek version. Hercules is the version the Romans adapted and is the son of Jupiter.

So because practically everyone knows the myth as "Hercules" and not "Herakles", they put him in the Roman pantheon. Plus, they needed a few recognizable names for the Roman pantheon. It's not Smite's fault that almost everything else covering the myth has used the Roman name for the hero, Hercules, and the Greek name for his divine father, Zeus, rather than Jupiter.

Nox/Nyx is less mainstream but if you believe the internet, Nyx is more popular than Nox, yet HiRez used lesser known name of "Goddess of Night".

Yeah, Nox/Nyx is the biggest departure Smite has made from logic as far as pantheons go, and I have no explanation for why they chose to put her in the Roman pantheon rather than the Greek, except the reason I've seen suggested that they wanted another Roman god so it wouldn't fall behind the other pantheons, but they didn't want another dude... In my opinion they still had other options, so I don't know... But yeah, Hercules mostly makes sense as Roman pantheon.
