Don't use all of your leaps at once. Make sure you have a way to escape.

Try to keep un-stunned, every time you chase someone their team is waiting right around the corner, use your abilities to kill, don't auto-attack unless you're out of mana.

Right now, I'd go Transcendence > Warrior Tabi > Jotun's > Mail of Renwal > Pestilence > Titans Bane. The order may differ depending on game type and team comp, but it is my go to. Skill wise max 3 then 1, 1 point into ult, none into 2 before the 3 and 1 are maxed. After 3 and 1 are maxed put a point into ult every chance over 2. Your 2 is largely useless outside of keeping health up when clearing and you may need it based on individual skill and if your team isn't roating camps with you early.

Use your Ult for last hitting, don't assume you can pick anyone up with it unless you specifically see them waste beads (gold glow on them). If you can grab them run them back to your team or under tower/phoenix, but generally just use it for last hitting.

Fenrir is not a boxer, you get in, do damage/get a kill then get out and set up do it again.

Good luck!

Autoattacking isn't effective with him to an extent in non-conquest modes. However, having 5 runes/5 successful attacks is essential to his kit.
Full runes net you one of 4 things, and you get full stacks on a kill---not assists.

So full runes on each of your 4 abilities:
Enhanced damage and an AREA STUN
Greatly enhanced lifesteal and damage for 5 seconds
Area of effect damage around the latched target (does not do on-hit)
Increased defenses during your ultimate.

Always keep a leap ready. Typically I use howl and then get 5th rune, then attack with a spell because free extra damage with some potential lifesteal on a smack or two. Brutalize is more of a short jump or kill secure before leaping away.
Never use both your leaps offensively unless you have good cooldowns, because you are almost always expecting to get converged upon by an entire enemy team. If no one else is around and it is all-in to kill all potential targets, then go for it---don't "maybe kill", you need to KNOW that you'll kill. Don't attempt an all-in to maybe get one person and expect to leave alive.

Your ultimate does a good chunk of damage regardless if it gets cleansed. The only tradeoff is you lose the movespeed and potential defenses when it runs out or gets cleansed. This move is very situational so I'll leave it to judgement.

First rank of howl is pretty bad for lifesteal. It only starts to be effective at 2 or if paired with a lifesteal item.

Lastly, he is an assassin. He's mobile but turns into wet paper if you build nothing but damage. Cooldowns are a must, but he can have mana concerns. I build fenrir just like I build loki but that's probably a crazy thing to share in the first place. Somehow my loki silliness works a good bit.
