"Player disconnected" at login screen :/

When i try to log into smite from in game it says "player disconnected", but when i log in with the same username and password on the hi-rez website, it works :O

I found a fix guys. Make a smurf, log into your smurf you just made. And then log your main accounts and it will let you on. Just tested it and it works, I couldnt get on. Logged one of my smurfs just fine. Logged out and back to my main. Logged in just fine.

Game works again through steam, atleast for me.

GUYS, I found a solution that worked for me. I first booted smite in safemode, then it started, after that i rebooted not in safemode and it worked again :O

Here's what I did. Don't know what did it. First I uninstalled through steam in an attempt to install the non steam version. It told me it was already installed. So I manually went through and deleted everything left over from hirez in my documents, steam folder, etc. I made sure nothign was left. But I still got the error that it was already installed when I tried to use the web installer off the Smite homepage.

So I reinstalled through steam, and got an error that the file launch couldn't be found, something of that nature. So I went into my steamapps/smite/binaries/Redist and ran the Installhirezservice . It first offered to uninstall everything, which I had it to do. After it was finished I tried starting smite again and steam went into the first time set up and installed something for the hirez service.

After this the launcher came up, but seemed to be stuck on "finished verifying". I closed the launcher, brought it up again and it worked just fine and connected me into the game successfully.

Hope it helps someone, probably confusing directions but hey it let me log in.
