The playerbase is already split between multiple game modes. The playerbase is further split by normal and ranked mode. Splitting further by splitting all that even further into two seperate ques (solo and premade) would be a very bad idea.
Ask everyone who plays ranked how many times a day they see the same person in their matches over and over again. Hell i even had days where i had the same person in the enemy team 3 matches in a row. Smite does not have the playerbase to do what youre asking for.
i do not think so, you are telling me that other than my match there is not another one where a full solo team is matched against a 2-4 party team ? so i must be the most unlucky player alive. Plus, how many people don't play the game because they can't learn it and because the matchmaking is so bad they quit ? yesterday i got matched against a duo of hackers twice, (https://smite.guru/profile/719864944-SpeedNickGer/matches and https://smite.guru/profile/719495456-VlaamsBeIang/matches ) and then against a 4 people party twice, they were all good like me at least if not more knowledgeable of the actual meta and itemization. I think devs should enable solo queue and see what happens because smite 2 will be the same clown fiesta again and again, it will suffer of the same plaguing problems: people with smurf accounts in a party + voice chat stomping noobs in a solo team.
They did this at some point but once queue times started to go into the 10+ min ranges that couldn't be sustained anymore.
Really the main problem isn't even solo players because if you throw enough stuff at a wall it'll eventually form a balanced pile.
The problem is the edge cases of low/high MMR groups that would only find matches that were extremely relaxed in MMR leading to absolute ♥♥♥♥-shows.
Groups already get a hefty MMR penalty so they'll face stronger solo enemies.
Most parties are also actually quite chill and pick off meta and weird stuff to have fun.
I know that whenever I play with my pals we don't wanna spam stupid meta crap all the time.
Of course then you also have these dumb Aphro x Susano parties where you have a low MMR drooling monkey on an aphro cause buttons are hard to press and a grandmaster assassin player that decides to farm some noobs that day.
Really the obnoxious part is when you run into these casual premades that just got their asses kicked the last 5 games for playing stupid crap and now decide to actually try playing the game after tanking their MMR in the process.
Anyway, it's not gonna happen in this game, I doubt that it will in smite 2 either.
What they need is predictable MMR adjustment based on who you team up with instead of just a penalty but that's quite the sophisticated process that requires a lot of data...
in a game enemy team had 2 party of 2 and my game was full solo. So simple to make a 2 man party + 2 solo against 2 party + 2 solo... i dont get it. In another game the hours played by the enemy 3 man party were 10 times the amounto of hours played by my team... you can imagine the snowballing of 3 expert players in voice chat against new or returning players that dont even know the full roster or specific builds =
stop calling people stupid
