This is ultimately the best advice. I mean, it is so useful, and helpful, and such a unique (and original) advice. This is probably the best advice I've ever seen given. *cough*
2- have you tried killing him?
3- you are an idiot
Once you understand how the god works, how a "Loki" would think, facing Loki shouldn't be hard.
For instance know that his invisibility is for 6 sec, or if other team is backing remember it could be a vvvt.
If conquest for all the gods and goddesses sake, idgaf which role you play WARD. And use vgs. If you don't you are also liable for being ganked.
Listening to music is fine, but non intrusive music is better. Loki (like all Gods) has a distinct voice on ability, even if Loki is on my team, and not on the other team my finger starts to twitch to react.
Remember the key to Loki is not to work like (movie) Thor.
Beat the sneaky slippery one by being the better more sneaky and slippery one. If you're good bait him. Loki squishy AF. Remember he needs to hit your backside. Kind of like bad idea to show your backside to awilix.
If you're a new player(~150 hours) it might seem daunting but Loki is really not hard to counter. Obviously in good hands he's good but seriously, if you reach the point where you really meet good players, maybe step up your game and as rightly mentioned above, git gud.
Some yters to watch
Just for tips
Bennna, dmbrandon, incon, weak3n, among others
There's smites know your enemy.
Remember, Play well, listen to advice. Don't be a ♥♥♥♥. And most importantly it's a game. If you're on a bad streak, if your team mates are bad, bming and whatnot.
Even if you have to, just alt-f4, this might not be popular opinion but remember (now this is very important) IT'S JUST A GAME.
DO NOT LET IT CONSUME YOU.

His decoy is just ...something. It can act as a meat shield. It does a LOT of damage actually, so don't be in it when it explodes. This is the highest damaging ability in his kit that's not his ultimate.
When he makes a real loud noise that means he's activated his enhanced his next attack to slow you and do a little more damage. Resets basic attack chain. Abusable at high cooldown.
As playing loki one thing that counters me is HEALTH and ARMOR. Tanks? Unless I build to specifically shred them down I ignore them. Go after the isolated or busy mage/carry and go nuclear on them. Stay close to your team and hopefully they respond when a loki gets dangerously close to your group.
Hun Batz
Any CC at all tbh, most of them ♥♥♥♥ with Loki enough to the point that he either can't ult and gets stunned or he gets taken out of stealth.
another one is watching him, he only has 3-4 seconds stealth time so he will have to get close enough to you unless his ulti is up in which case have the invunerability relic and have decent timing to pop this as he ulti combo's you, it will absorb mostly all his damage unfortunately that has a 140-160 second cooldown
AoE damage, CC and generally been tanky counter loki, if he cant burst you down in a few seconds then he is dead or has to run
The best way to shut down a Loki is CC indeed, no matter what you do. When your team pays attention you might get away with actives after he ulted you. xD
The couple team mates that saw that went crazy and loki actually messaged me to say "wow gj, competely out played me on that one"
Point is (besides wishing I streamed that) you have be AWARE enough to realize if you are being targeted, if you are being baited, if you are not responding correctly to the same situation over and over again.
If you don't have the necessary abilities in you kit to counter a specific god, you need to communicate that with you team mates. Tell them what you need them to do. People generally will make it a point to cover that hole in your game. Of course randoms, will be random, but I generally get some effort out of people I make request to, just don't be a ♥♥♥♥ about it.
Other than that playing loki is the best way to learn how to beat him, once you play him you learn his weakness. I don't even mid or play mages 99% of the time, I jungle, if I can adapt that quickly anyone can, you just have to change your mind set.
I've played with a ton of friends that blame everything under the sun for their bad games except their actions, YOU are the common denominator. Change your way of thinking, not "loki's op", "good loki's can't be countered", "Smite's not balanced", etc. That's all BS. You are making mistakes and you're not recognizing them or adjusting to the preasure.
If you started thinking after every game whether you win or lose "what did I ♥♥♥♥ up that game", whether it was a recurring mistake, a bad play, or just panic if you acknowlege, even vocalize it, you will become so much better as a player, it's like its own muscle, you gotta work it.
Anyway that went longer than I intended, hope some of it was useful, glhf.
Step 2. Two shot him
Step 3. Profit?
