Don't spam laugh emotes

Was reading through ToS for the game cuz I was bored, and apparently they consider spamming any of the emotes or vgs stuff as harassment and it qualifies you for an permanent ban. I do not know when this was updated as I've never read it before, but there ya go.

why? emotion it's in game function that can be muted like vgs or other communication mechanics,it's realy stupid ban for us game functionalyty maby you shuld just del all emotio mehanic with that attitude,its soo stupid you cant use not even in game mechanics looks like hi rez harass their player base.Im mean that first was a random afk flag that mark you even when you play,than you cant use in game voice,after you cant use in game chat.Now you even cant use in game emotio to not flame brainless team of bots.Bravo next time you get ban for use binds or otrer mechanic that HI REZ CREATE why you do ecmotio than just del it

Chatting is also an ingame function, it's the way how you use it that determines if it's an okay use or an TOS offense. Same goes for VGS, regular use vs spamming in a harrassing manner. Only because there are TOS offense ways to use a system doesn't mean you should get rid of the system. If we'd apply this way of thinking to everything we couldn't have knives, because even though most people use them to prepare food, carve wood or be a surgeon, there are people who kill others with knives.

I am telling people that for years now but they dont believe that you can get banned for using a system the developer themself gave them.

I dont even bother telling people anymore. They will learn the hard way one day.

Fun fact you actually cannot mute emotes. I think because they involve an animation for the character in question which occurs regardless of whether you have that person muted, but regardless the laugh emote cannot be blocked in any capacity.

As to why they do it, it's the spam they have a problem with specifically. It's very clearly used as a means of BMing other players and Smite doesn't like people doing that.

I do not support spamming laugh emotes at certain times but I do have to point out a hypocrisy on the company's part.

It is hypocritical of them to punish spamming of laugh emotes but when a match ends, gods on the winning team automatically laugh while those on the losing team automatically look like someone just killed the family pet.

I have to agree that insta bans are only given out for very heavy rule breakers and nothing else.

Lets be real here for a second.
Do you guys honestly believe this game would last 1 more day with this toxic community when you get insta banned for "no reasons" and people spam reporting the sh*t out of you ?

Answer is "no". Smite would be dead if thats the case.


I mean i play since closed Beta and i didnt even get a single warning in all those years. So when people come here and tell me they got insta banned for "no reason" all my alarm signals start ringing and all sirens go off.

but anyone whos sitting here crying about insta bans are new players so where are they getting this info from it does not make one lick of sense

I'm more than enough of a gamer to see that they don't tell the real reason why they got it.insta bans except for cheats or malicious spam. but I don't think they count if they are all viewed
