Smite Xbox linking to PC
Everytime I login to my Hirez account through the website, I want to link my xbox stats to steam for cross-progression. However, everytime I sign in to my xbox account, I always get an error saying "Can only re-link to the previously linked account." I dont know what this means as I have not linked my xbox account to any other accounts other than my current one. I sent an email to hirez reguarding this and a "HiRez Representative" replied with topics that I already looked into and does not help my situation, So does anyone how I can fix this and use cross progression?

- We are aware that some players' friends lists are being wiped or altered after merging accounts. We apologize for any inconvenience this issue may cause.

- As of February 11th, account linking will be treated differently than it was previously. A Hi-Rez account can still be linked to Xbox, Steam, PS4, Switch and any other external account that grants an in-game player name as normal. However, should these accounts be merged (meaning the accounts were linked when the player logged into the game after the implementation of the Cross-Play/Cross-Progression feature), then the Hi-Rez account becomes locked to that external account. That is to say, if a Hi-Rez PC account merges with an Xbox account, then said Hi-Rez PC account becomes unable to link to any other Xbox account. As per our FAQ, it is possible to unlink an Xbox account from a Hi-Rez PC account, however doing so will reset that Xbox account's progress entirely and leave the Hi-Rez PC account unable to link to an Xbox account again. That Xbox account can then only be linked/merged to a Hi-Rez PC account that has never merged with an Xbox account before. The same is true with any other external account that lets you access one of our games.


Switch Linking:
- Switch account linking was encountering an issue where users were presented with an error screen when attempting to log into the game. This should now be fixed. Please log into the game on your Switch in order to properly follow the linking process. Switch linking is active and available now, both in-game and via our web site.

PS4 Users:
- Unfortunately, PS4 is not included in Cross-Play/Cross-Progression feature at this time. We hope to have this platform included in the future, but we have no time frame for when this will happen.

Ultimate God Pack / Champion Pack Issues:
- Some users did not have their Ultimate God Packs or Champion Packs transfer over when the merge took place. This is a known issue and our developers are working on a fix. Please keep an eye on our social media outlets for an announcement regarding this issue.

Skin Exclusivity:
- While merging accounts will make it so that your owned skins are shared on all linked platforms, please note that platform exclusive skins (Zeus/Amaterasu X, Cacodemon X, Alienware Ra, Stage 4 Androxus, Androxus X etc.) will remain platform exclusive. You will be able to access and use these skins while playing on the platform they were made for, but not on any other platform.

Yep, that is the same exact email I got in my email. And I still dont know what to do as it doesnt explain it properly with my issue.

pretty much states that you can unlink your xbox account off hi-rez but as soon as you do that all your progress gets reset and you won't ever get anything that you had back but the name of the said account.

i got the same problem with paladins and i solved it... i just logged out and logged into my ps4 account and unlinked everything there then i logged into the pc account and it worked

broi got this message when I even tried making a new hi-rez account it doesn't make any sense to me

I know this is as late as it can be, but I wanted to post a message so others could find a fix. The issue is that your steam account is already linked to a hi-rez account. Login with the steam account and un-link the steam account. Then login with the Xbox account and link the steam account.

i'm sorry if this is a dumb question, but how do you unlink the steam account?

i'm sorry if this is a dumb question, but how do you unlink the steam account?

Hey so this guy's solution is right on the money and saved me a huge headache.
Basically to unlink your steam account go to the hi rez login page, there should be an option towards the bottom that allows you to login with steam, choose that. Once logged in go to linked accounts and it should show steam, just click unlink. Afterwards login with your xbox account and you should be able to link steam through there now.r
if u use multiple accounts on steam click properties and where itsays launch type -nosteam and hit enter then back out launch smite 64 bit then type in login info
