I´ve played him for around 90+ hours with him (15% of 660ish hours) and he is incredably easy to use in CASUAL, If you master him, and unless the enemy's jungle and your mid ganks you a lot, there is no way that you will get a bad score.

Even if this is true, he cannot be played in ranked modes (at least from platium to higher) because he is just that, a noobstomper. Against good players, even if you are great with Anubis, you will just die. Mostly by good timed ganks and the outplaying of your enemy. It would be rare to make anubis do good against them in a conquest or just a plain 1vs1.

Why is that tho? The main reasons are:
-Half his kit consist him on being rooted, with his one having short range and his ultimate having a "large" cooldown and a low hitbox. They do insane burst damage but, does it matter if ya can´t hit them? Then his two only stuns, doesn´t even do damage and his three is easily avoidable and it´s more of a minion wave clearer.
-No escapes and has the lowest starting running speed that any mage has (or even any god), a speed of 350.
-Squishy. I mean, anubis is basicly the only god you will buy lifesteal, because if you don´t you will be killed before killing them.(And the passive rewards you for getting lifesteal , if i remeber correctly).

I think that´s it. The only thing he has going for him it's his damage and cooldown, and i guess the scaling of that damage to late game. It is a fun god to win casual games, but for ranked? You should only play with him if ya playing with friends and don´t mind losing so much, as people often report you for actually picking anubis as a way of "trolling".

anubis is both great and horrible imo.if the team can support him by body blocking or having a stun or slow he can do great damage and in return he can stun and slow for his team too.but if the team leaves him to the mercy of the enemy then he does go down pretty fast.from what i've seen only experienced players help anubis out to land his spells because they know what is going on with him and how great an advantage he is for their team.and not to mention that more often than not his ulti goes to waste because other players choose to attack with spells that pushes or throws the enemy while they see your ulti in effect.

hate to tell ya pal but....

you simply suck

Anubis is in a really terrible spot this season. Purification used to have a muh shorter cooldown so Anubis was less of an easy target. As it currently stands he's GREAT if you can pop your abilities off against a squishy opponent, but in practice he sucks due to his lack of escape and inability to move during two of his abilities.

In my opinion Anubis is, despite his insane dmage potential, the worst mage in the game right now and probably in the bottom 5 gods.

No spacing: Mummify, keks
No escape: Neither do most mages, pleb.
Low speed: That's why boots exist.
Squishy: Again, Health items. Also, he's not bad compared to other Mages health-wise

One hard cc is not really spacing
Most mages do have escapes
If everyone has boots (which everyone does) anubis is still the slowest, and boots don't fix the fact that his abilities root him
