Im on a team and I need to get a Guardian but I play mostly High damage whats the best one?

I can confirm that VEL spam is like athena's taunt, hence increasing your CC greatly.

Ymir is also a good option, he can do a ton of damage with ease with his 2 and ult.

Ares, Bacchus or Cabrakan

Ares - I personally build CDR Boots, Breastplate of Valor, Void Stone, Heartward, Sovereignty, Pythorum's Piece

Bacchus - Pen Boots, Breastplate Of Valor, Void Stone, Bulwark, Spirit Robe/ Mantle, Soul Reaver

Cabrakan - (MOTV) Pen Boots, Dynasty Plate Helm, Hide of The Urchin, Void Stone, Spirit's Robe/ Mantle, Soul Reaver (Polynomicon is an option, but you have to be able to hit the basic attack directly after using your 1, as a "miss" wastes the proc)

Many people here are saying either Ares or Cabraken. They're both high-damaging, but they're not so great at carrying (Ares only has single target DoT damage, and Cabraken has to go glass cannon.) Sobek is the greatest for a balance of burst damage and disruption, as well as some tankyness.

Ares, Cabrakan, Bacchus, and Sobek would be my suggestions. Ymir, Kumbhakarna, and Xing Tian can work as well.

Very true. Kumbhakarna can do a good deal of damage too depending on the build.
