if you have the game in hand and have the installs then it should have them, if you do not have it, then probably

Have you tried restarting Steam, then running Steam as Admin (right-click on Steam), and then Verifying the Integrity of the Game Cache Files by right-clicking on Smite in Steam and going to Properties and the Files tab? You might also try the HiRez Diagnostics tool that should have installed with Smite.

yeah i tried pretty much i had to delete local fuiles and re install the missing files only took bout 20 min so not so bad i guess but i mean damn whats the point of the auto update feature

Usually it works. Sometimes it doesn't. Like most things... Sorry. :steamsad: Hopefully now that you've gotten it fixed the auto-update will work normally next time.

If you want to lodge a complaint with HiRez, you can do so at forums.smitegame.com

i think this is more of a steam problem i been having issues with alot of things that come from steam they sold me a game that crashes on launch wont run when the cut scense start game crashes and than they expect me to patch it and get it working for it to be playable so i imagine like most the problems i run into on here its likely on steams side but thanks for the help

Well, you can always uninstall it from Steam and reinstall the standalone launcher if you think it's Steam that is screwing things up (which I have heard can be an issue with the updates).

yeah i was actually wondering that to i heard they had a stand alone and a steam version but when i get the game the steam version came up 1st lol i usually play this on ps4 but the competitive scene is on pc so here i am

Sounds good. The Steam version is mostly good if you are into your Steam profile and like having your achievements on here and showing off screenshots and stuff. Otherwise, there's no difference and often fewer bugs going with the direct program rather than including a middle-man program like Steam. So pros and cons either way, but if you mostly just want to play the game, trying the standalone launcher might fix a lot of your problems. Hopefully it does.
