Magi's isn't really a good item though as it will cleanse ALL CC effects. WHich includes slows I think. If it does cleanse something you wouldn't beads for it kind of becomes useless for the next minute.
Depending on the scenario, letting your Gaurdian tank and spank will work wonders. If its a face to face encounter you absolutely want to avoid chasing them. Ne Zha has a massively powerful initiation, which also means he can turn the situation within a moments notice... chasing them is often a part of THEIR plan, not yours, if we're talking 1 v 1.
Beads have a massive C/D, it's NOT a dependable counter.
Because he's bursty and is complimented with good DPS you really gotta' let your Tanks take that burst of damage before you even attempt facerolling him. Because he is dependant on abilities to make kills, it means he can't heal much. So a bursty tank will give you the edge you need over him. What ever HP he's at after the exchange with the Tank is what he is basically left with after you get on him. But remember: a strong initiation means they can turn the fight very easily.
Apart from that, not much you can do. Nuclear Gods like Ne Zha are essential for SMITE. The overpoweredness/nukefest damage is what makes the games go for 30 ~ 50 minutes. Without them the games would potentially go for 2 hours. Meaning if you're waiting for balance, it's never going to happen. It's built within the game.
It will however let you escape it, which puts Ne Zha out of position, allowing you/your team to kill him. If you do this enough, they will fall behind, and make your team's life easier. Same for Sanctuary (if beads are down, this will let you avoid most/all of the damage of his ult depending on timing). Also moving erratically can cause them to miss either their ult or their sash abilities.
Don't beads when stunned from sash, do it when they're almsot to you, so they don't have time to not ult when they see your CC immune.
The 1st thing to always keep in mind is that Ne Zha is one of the 3 (i think) gods in smite that has Crit chance at all times just because of his passive, the other 2 being Artemis and Hun Batz, this means even early game there's always a chance he'll suddenly do a ♥♥♥♥ ton of damage out of nowhere, and the higher his passive is stacked the more likely it is he'll crit.
His 1 is just as much an initiation as his 3 as it stacks a movement speed buff on him, slows the enemies it hits AND reduces their protections by 15 per hit, in some cases a Ne Zha might hit you with the ring toss to lower your protections before sashing over to you, or he'll throw the ring right after sashing to you to lower your speed and protections to tilt the odds in his favor.
his 2 is pretty self-explanatory, he gains attack speed, heals up to 10% of his max health depending on how many passive stacks he has and gains 15% extra crit chance, if he pops this it's likely he's going to initiate, or he'll only do it for the heal and make you paranoid that he'll attack when he isn't planning to. The risk of getting hit by Crit damage scares a lot of people.
His 3 is the thing that makes him so dangerous to face, even more so if he has a teammate with him that knows how to take advatage of the split second stun his 3 causes, and it actually has a chance of criting, so he can combine it with his 2 to dish out insanely damaging combos, and even though beads can stop the stun and even protect you from his ult, a competant Ne Zha player will often check your build so he can counter build it, i do this very frequently so i can determine which players have purification or sanctuary. That tells me which players i can ult immediantly after sashing, and which players that i'll have to bait into Purifying or using sanctuary early and then ulting them. Half the time if a good Ne Zha knows you have Purification he'll almost always delay his ult until you use purification, so instead of purifying immediantly after his sash, it becomes a matter of trying to read when he'll ult and i don't think i need to explain the consequenses of purifying too early.
However though the biggest thing you need to keep in mind when facing a Ne Zha is that his kit actively encourages him to stay in a fight, odds are if Ne Zha sashes over to you or suddenly blind sides you with his ring, he's going in there to box you until one of you dies. Meaning, if he catches you by yourself and he knows you have purification to counter his ult, there is very little you can do to him unless you have some kind of hard CC, if you don't and you're a squishy, odds are he's going to kill you unless a teammate is there to stop him. His drawbacks are his kit encourages staying in a fight with 1 person, even though his ring toss helps slightly with smaller crowds, he can't do very much to you if the rest of your team is nearby as he doesn't have an escape outside of using his ult to dash away rather then inflict tons of damage.
