I thought they were just adding slash.
Hate when games take away something good and give a sub par replacement. Just put clash back in the game.
You can still play them in custom lobbies, so the diehard fans have a way to organise themselves (tho there is no denying that doing it yourself is not the same as a matchmaker doing it).
Which is the exact thing they didn't want.
Meanwhile siege players just had their map removed and the main driving points behind that mode (longer duo laning phases, accentuated with sporadic teamfights due to sieges and 4 players per team) do not exist.
Clash players pretty much got a new map that makes the things they didn't like about it worse.
Siege players just lost everything.
I have yet to see a slash game that doesn't turn into one team turning into a 5 man deathball that just roams and kills everything while the other team can only split up and sit in lane trying to clear and not run into that ball.
Even If the mode was good, it appeals more to non-clash, non-siege players and those folks are either sitting in conquest, arena/assault or joust...
If you aren't interested in 5v5 all mid teamfights all game long you basically can play joust or conquest now, everything else is basically just that...
how does this not also describe clash/siege?
Slash atm has all the problems of both modes and none of the upsides. Everything is so squishy that you dont even need the siege beasts to crack towers at all, and WITH them in pushes, towers might as well not exist. Mix that in with snake buff and every match hyper snowballs into a non-ending feedback loop of snake buffs, siege minions and tower kills overlapping. The team that pulls ahead first is almost always going to win because they simply get to many bonuses at the same time that then feed into getting the others again.
The map is nice, the mode has potential, but atm it is THE single most snowbally mode they have ever made for this game in its decade long life hands down.
