Assault people like in other modes want a tank so long as it is not them. I used to have to invent **** like Support Hunter & Assassin just to feel like something sane was going on, got tired of it.
When I started, I would guess about 40% of NA did not hate tanking, now I would say 10% would play a tank on a good day. Now if you see someone taking a Warrior, they have a 85% chance of putting Crit on them and 95% going damage builds. Guardians, either they go Soul Reaver first item or ring builds. Hunters Crit or Ody Bow followed by Crit first items. Lots of people want Mages.
It is not worth it anymore. I felt more like I was playing a survivalist dystopia than a team game.
Assault used to be fun. When I started, people would actually talk to each other and work out who would tank and what someone was building so others would not build the same Aura items, now they just do whatever.
Either find a team or you may have to move on to something else.
Matches like those ^ are why I don't like to tank very often. Then there's your teammates who, if you're playing someone like Khepri or Geb, act like the world revolves around them. And you should save them every single time...
If I'm going to lose that badly, I might as well do so as a character I actually want to play.
ADC = Singer. (Auto-tune ON... gets all them ladies)
As a Support no matter what you do.....youre the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ one. Missed your Khepri crab ? "FU bad support trash player go uninstal". You go in and start a fight assuming your team joins in: " Nah bruh us farm minions. Also i need to back now purchasing item."
Long story short Support is unthankful. No matter what you do youre ♥♥♥♥♥♥. Wanna go Support ? Go Premade or go home. You really wanna play Support with Randoms ? Well go Warrior then and do your carrys job.
or even better. go with a sulv ring build
If im a hunter/mage/assassin, there is a decent chance i can carry the sub par parts of the team. If im the tank i can SET UP the damage, but at the end of the day they have to be able to fight.
That is why i dont play tanks for the most part, its far to frustrating.
so just now i went as iza adc. did pretty well early game but messed up my mid to late game. i get blamed for an unexpected gank by the enemy adc in the middle lane which led to the deaths of 2 of my teamates (this was before the first 3 mins). then in the late game i killed one enemy and then another one immediately dies. i retreat as i am low health which made it a 4v3. i go to my purple buff and get blamed cause they kept being really aggressive until the enemy tier 1 as the enemy tier 2 is up which led to their deaths.
Yeah no idea why she is a mage, guardian would have been better. They should have just made her a ranged guardian.
Their high CC and low scaling damage, means they are often reliant on team mates to follow up on what they set down. Which can be hit or miss to say the least.
Guardians are the team reliant class in a game that ironically lacks a lot of team work. So much easier to play a damage dealer then be surprised why you are being bull rushed by the enemy team due to no front line.
Guardians do not just setup kills, they can also peel attackers off weak allies, lock down enemies off allies killing a target and after some time can dive and objective allowing allies to take that target. Warriors could do the same.
The problem is more the community attitude with more players concerned over their KDA and little else thus resulting in less teamwork.
The game does not lack teamwork, that is a misconception and red herring created to incorrectly justify many incorrect views.
